Tottenham asked Brentford about Raya’s situation this month and were told that the 27-year-old Spaniard is not for sale. But Raya will have only a year left on his deal at the end of the season and Spurs are considering testing Brentford’s resolve as they look to secure a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, who is 36. Think Mike Maignan has that locked down tbf, he’ll be top 3 goalkeepers in the world for the next 10 years.
Always be prepared to overpay on your no1 targets, especially if they have a good age and others want them.
