The problem is expectation - if you expect nothing to happen then you can only be pleasantly surprised when we do actually make a move.

Remember, just because we've yet to hear anything positive today publicly it doesn't mean there hasnt been positive moves behind the scenes.

No we haven't signed a striker (or two) yet, but we all know that DL and HR recognise that this area needs strengthening. I put my trust in them to get the right players in. I'd rather we took out time and got the right players than grossly overpay for players that will not improve us as a team.

Anyway, even as it stands I would rather have our squad to Liverpool's and Arsenal's.

Touched a nerve?

I care about my club but I won't be crying myself to sleep tonight like a lot of people on here. It's called keeping things in perspective. So we haven't signed a striker, I don't see the need to get the razor blades out.

I doubt anyone will actually be crying themselves to sleep  I could be wrong. but doubt it.

Yes the atrocity in Norway and the shameful waste of Amy Winehouse's life is sad, and in real terms SPurs search for a goal scorer for a team that plays a game pales into insignificance.

BUT

Most of us dedicate alot of time, money and emotion to following our beloved football team. Whether thats attending the game every week, paying a Sky and internet subscription to watch games, buying the latest jersey, whatever, its something we are committed to. Its a love for us all. We want the team to be successful. We want success, we want entertainment. We want braging rights over our friends.

We want the carrotts that are so often dangled in front of us, these big name strikers, to come to fruitition. We are frustrated, having seen the lcub build one of the best footballing sides we have had, to fall short of finding the missing piece of the jigsaw, that one truely class striker.

We are all hear for our love of Spurs. Lets not turn against each other.

One Club. One Love. One Spurs.

i see ferguson has been talking today about signings!?

"We lost five players in their 30s this summer,'' said Ferguson. "That helped finance the three younger players - Ashley Young, Phil Jones and David de Gea - I have brought to the club.
At this moment, I can't see another addition. The type of player we might have been looking for is not available."

i wonder who he could be talking about!!!!!?

i think thats great sign modric is staying imo

POTL said its starting to hot up, while we may get annoyed at his cryptic nature, I think its coommon knowledge that he is as close to the heart of the club as anyone So if he says things are happening they are.
I do believe this week some big things will happen.

Although Walker and Rose are u/21,can we not include them in the 25 if we want?
Yeah, we could. But it would be a ridiculous waste of two places!

As long as we meet the training quotas there would be absolutely no reason to do so.

For the record, not only would I be happy with Huntelaar, I'd also be happy with Affalay.

We desperately need more creativity in our side and he would be an excellent signing. Young, hungry and with ability.

On a side note.

kdspur, im sure you have some interesting points, and you are obviously
passionate about our club.

I just think with the use of commas, full stops. and the enter button
you might get your point across.

Your posts make my eyes go screwy and give me a head ache.

Hope you don't take offence. :)

Creativity and Pace. Without Bale and Lennon we are as slow as Liverpool. Modric is quick over 5-10 yards, but we lack anyone else who can go on a lung bursting run past defenders and spark a match winning opportuinty.

Which is why N'Zogbia or Marin would be a good signing. At less than £10m, in todays market, N'Zogbia would be a very worthwhile purchase.
But we will let him go, hoping we can get MArin, miss out on him, and sign some donkey-dick.

How about Jarvis from Wolves?

I'd agree with all of this. Still be amazed if we parted with any more than about £15m for Huntelaar, though. If we somehow managed to get both for around £20m-£22m, that would be extremely good business.

The worrying thing for me is his last sentence.....
"I am happy with the squad I've got, at this moment in time."
