My God so many "I'm getting down/depressed" statements in these threads, and apparently us women are over emotional, thats a laugh

I think everyone was expecting it all to go mad today but really as if, this is spurs we are talking about

Must admit I got a bit down the other day over the Vucinic stuff after several ITK's seemed to hint that it was almost done and dusted, So I as I'm sure many others were a little disappointed to hear that a bid had in fact not been accepted due to the way in which Levy is willing to pay it.

In hindsight now looking back, I'd still be happy with what we already have, Just a case of making the best out of what you have, At a time where everyone is suffering economically football should not be seen any different to the rest of us, And we know Levy will have the clubs best financial stability at the fore front of any deals. If it's too much then fair enough, We signed Coulibaly, nurture him and make him a star.

Personally I think if we were anywhere near to signing Vucinic there'd be more mainstream media coverage. At the moment I don't think we're close to signing anyone, hopefully by the end of the week we might be but I doubt if we will be before.

In no way shape or form would I be happy with sticking with what we have but I am convinced we will have a new striker or even hopefully 2 in our side before Aug 31st, I just can't see how we wouldn't. Every single person associated with Spurs knows we need changes upfront, surely between them they can come up with someone.

With time, when the vicinic story fades away, we all will have warmed to KJH and when the close of the window approaches we will be praying for any strikerrs. And when the window closes we will be waiting for an annoucement on the OS.

Then reality will kick in.

And your here, WHY ?

I actually think Huntelaar isn't too bad (not €20 but not rubbish). He's more of a Lineker than the drogba type most are after but with regular starts he will score goals - just might leave us a little slow up top.

Watch this video of him though - not for the goal but for the bit of commentary on 38 seconds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a52yq2V3ceo&feature=youtube_gdata_player

 Quality.

That aside, the fact is not many players can score goals like that. His montage is brilliant - i know youtube blah blah etc, but the fact is, some of his goals include chips, volleys etc, which need a high level of skill to pull off - and he has scored shedloads of those types of goals, meaning they aren't the 'one in a million YouTube type goals'.

If KJH had come straight from Madrid, i would've loved him here. I haven't kept an eye on how he's been in Germany, but if he's anything like the player he was, i believe he would be a great signing for us. Better than what we have and as good as we can realistically get, bar maybe one or two.

Saying all this, i haven't read any of this thread today so if the whole KJH thing has fallen through or turned out to be false, then sorry for this waste of a post.

what are you on about?

Fans care about their Clubs...that includes being happy and dissappointed at different times - all part of the emotion of being a fan.

Talking about extreme disasters is a silly way to make your point.

Is it wring that I would be happy for us to sign any striker, I just want the hope that change gives. I have a stupid (non itk) feeling that falcao will be our man. Levy is not stupid he must have something lined up.

Touched a nerve?

I care about my club but I won't be crying myself to sleep tonight like a lot of people on here. It's called keeping things in perspective. So we haven't signed a striker, I don't see the need to get the razor blades out.

eh?

Nobody is crying themselves to sleep in the literal sense, get a grip ...all people are saying is that they're a little concerned with the lack of movement and hoping that it picks up this week - particularly with out goings.

Your post was just a tad dramatic - ironically.

been a quieter day than i expected especially after all itk saying fun n games starting but i appreciate the squad only back a day or so and these things take time. The way i look at it with spurs players is the likes of hutton, keane, jenas, bentley, crouch, defoe , bassong etc is that they are all playing for a big club and more importantly on big wages so since they all know they are for the road then they will hold out as long as possible to pick up the best deal they can. Personally i would not touch any of these players bar crouch with a barge pole so i can only imagine what the professionals think especially when they can get younger fitter hungrier players at half the price and wages these guys are on. its going to be hrd to get rid of some of the shite we have.. i mean deadwood . I have been predicting for while that in last week of window we will see every club going nuts to get players out and in and to be honest i cant see any of spurs players leaving before then.
