If Arsenal get Mata, we get Affelay. Samba would be a great signing aswell. With Affelay and Diarra in our midfield, Samba in our defense and a new striker I believe we're set. Negredo wouldn't be bad at all, Llorente would be great (who imho should be our main target), Damiao wll come in january, Kane and Couli will be great in a few years.

Having unrealistic targets (yes, I believe Mata is unrealistic) swept ut isn't too bad, let's us focus on realistic targets, in this case Affelay. If Vuc goes to Juve, get Llorente/Negredo/whoever.

Hope Levy will pursue Rossi till the end of the window, but he shouldn't put all his energy on him. There are other great strikers out there too, sign one of them first.

Rossi and spurs

It's not too hard to imagine guys

Seriously we are trying and it's not going too bad.

Leandro will be a spurs player I'm sure. Too much time and effort has gone into this deal for it to fail. Along with a n other ( Rebrab cough cough) then we have a new Stoke force

We must be selling some strikers because I can't see Levy letting us have 7 on the books

One thing that could materialise?

Benzema > Arsenal
to fund
Tevez > Real Madrid
allowing
Adebayor > Spurs

Just thinking out loud, though

Lol strike force

And of course it all depends on sales, funny that Pav crouch Defoe and keane have been linked elsewhere. Kind of suggests we don't give a shit don't it

That would actually worry me IF it were true. The thought that we are not pursuing other deals to chase the pipe dream that is Rossi - which has been our downfall previously on occasion - when personally I don't think he should be our priority any way, certainly not at the money quoted.

Go get us the striker who can hold the ball up, score a few goals/create a few goals, play on his own and work with VDV then fuck about with the lilly gilding.

This could end up being like the Arshavin summer if true.

Me to, I also alluded to this earlier in the thread...Rossi would be great and I would be excited but from a pragmatic point of view Vucinic is more in the mould of what we need, so I share the concern even if that sounds a tad contradictory.

Vucinic should be the main target now but I suspect we are dwelling on too many options - some not very realistic at all.

Maybe we can offer Rossi a buyout clause or something similar for the same amount we pay for him and if in two years time we arent playing CL, we let him go to whoever pays that amount.

we def get shit end of stick their by country mile

Agreed, on top of the fact that arsenal are probably the weakest out of last years top 4 and them getting a player of benzemas quality would be a bitter pill to swallow.

No way. If you say Rossi to Spurs is a no go, Benzema wont leave Madrid, no way. Mourinho loves him, he cant stop scoring since January, today scored another two great goals.
I think its more likely: Tevez to Inter, Sneijder to Man Utd, Berbatov to sulk.:)

I'd gamble on that stick being better than our current, 'shittier' one

when i posted it i realised straight away haha.. ur right but if we are to rely on adebayor then i think its a bit sad. he is very unreliable and blow extrmely hot and cold.
