Offering him a new contract was the stupidest thing we've ever done, and that's saying something.

Thought it might be Afellay, but really doesn't score that many. If that's who we're relying on for goals god help us.

There has to be some reason for it, right:shrug:

he must be fooking amazing in training Eek

If the info re Rossi last January is true its pretty sickening to hear that now....could of made all the difference, I stress could.

Ryan sounds fed up, I think most are...but perhaps its for the best that we lower these expectations.

Agree with TSH, doesn't help when you have Harry openly talking about Rossi or Adebayor....it just raises expectations again.

Why are you suprised? its really not rocket science the way we go about business. There is people on here for months banging on aboput harry and his indecivessness when in fact it was by all accounts club and levy himself. Never been fan of those in charge of spurs, prob never will either but if you were to play back jan dealine day even harry was laughing at the whole levy in spain nonsense. He knew he was pissing against wind.

i would argue none of spurs network knew of couliably before world cup under 17 and it was sherwood that recommended him was it? we should be getting these players before these big competitions. its been well documented that arsenal no matter where player is in world have him scouted and hit first base with. I think we are no where near that , not even close and i have feeling our scouting metwork leaves alot to be desired. it must do when u see harry fucking off here there and everywhere. he has his trusted few in bond, jordan , and I.B. but aprt from that i wud say its going on personal recommendations and contacts if that.

Really easy to talk all this stuff, much more difficult to actually do it....

RichWman direct message to me on twitter: Roma want 17m for Vucinic. Spurs came up 2m short.

If that is true its very dissappointing. I understand you shouldn't pay over the odds as it sets a dangerous precedent for future business but in this case I'm staggered if thats accurate.

We need somebody who has the qualities to complete this team upfront, and what a player is worth to one Club could be totally different to another ie...to us that should be worth spending the money on. Yes try and get the best deal but dont jeopardise it completely over a relatively paltry sum when the acquisition of said player could yield infinitely more for us.

The bigger picture here, and we arn't talking about a massive gulf in valuations...we are very close if that info is accurate.

I personally think Harry is undecided, not sure if thats because of a lack of knowledge...or what.

Suarez hardly set Liverpool alight and he's a ****, he hardly fired them up the table and we outplayed them at Anfield and he never got out of King's back pocket...plus he's a **** and VdV is twice the player IMO. Did I mention he's a ****?

Redknapp is not the problem IMO, these transfer issues were issues before he was here, it's Levy and it's clear.

For all those top players signed, especially Luka, Bale and VdV who are the real class, if we don't sign players of their calibre they will be off as quick as you can say 'double your money'. It's Top 4 this season or a massive step back for the progress of the club.

I would rather have that "****", as you put it, leading our line than the 4 mugs we have on our books....

Levy has a plan to improve the club, don't you worry. Scouting network is a MAJOR part of that, along with youth development, the new training facilities and a new stadium.

What info is that.....?

Levy had a deal agreed for Rossi, but then went back and tried to barter, that's what messed it up.

Or something like that.

Of course, none of the Levy fanboys are having it though

Somebody said they had it from the horses mouth (Harry) that the Rossi deal was good to go, all but sewn up, and Levy dropped the offer at the last minute derailing the deal...and then returned at the end of the window with his suitcase of cash...

So much anger flying about! Time to take a deep breath...have a little bit of optimism that we'll not cock up yet another transfer window, and have faith in Levy.

Of course if by the end of the window we're still left with the goalless wonders we currently have up front, I'll be going as ape shit as the rest of you.

But for now all this frustration is a bit pointless when we have no clear idea what is happening behind the scenes.

the world's gonna end in 17 months anyway so who gives a stuff :shake:

probably best we all embrace the fact that we're absolutely useless at signing top drawer players and get used to a front two of kane and collibobbly for next season. think bill was right when he said if you're not in europe you're nothing, that's exactly the way it feels and it's certainly the way potential transfer targets treat us these days. With everyone holding out for CL clubs, expect a bonkers last deadline day with a 22:59:59 signing of heskey.

god, i'm sooooooo depressed......

Let's just see how he goes with a full season before you label the buck toothed, diving, spitting, horrible bastard some kind of goalscoring genius.

VDV is better and JD is capable of matching his goals tally, I'm unsure how much you saw of him at Liverpool to think we missed out so badly to be honest.

Maybe GFTS are initials of players we've lined up on something rather than something as vague as goals from the side?

Peanut on COYS re this: He never stops working. He's 24/7 all year round, will be on his phone emailing and texting throughout his 'holiday'. DL is allowed a life and a family. His parents live in Florida and he's got kids at school and university who want to see their grandparents.

I can confirm one of these statements is correct the other is not.

We shouldn't really have an issue with this but common sense would say to either take the holiday during the first 2 weeks of August or during the first 2 weeks of September. Not during the busies period. But like all managers they will delegate

Still no news on any out goings....

So if we dont lower our valuations on some of these lot we'll have the explanation as to why we couldn't really add to the squad ie striker etc....

It is interesting that we could seemingly afford to bid like a mad man in January without selling first though.

I say that, but dont really mean it - its over simplified.

So we keep hearing.

Sorry rebrab, not having a pop at you, it's just the not knowing what's holding us back in signing a player or two that's irritating.

Too much conflicting ITK, twitter, articles etc.
