Who would have thought that wages might be an issue............that's a shocker.

I could swear we had iTK at the start of the summer saying the club was going to raise the wage level?
We also had ITK a few weeks later indicating Redknapp was frustrated with the lack of outgoings from the club. Meaning players he wants out are still here and are still on our wage bill.

Maybe that's the problem? We've got players like Keane, Hutton, Jenas, Crouch, Bentley and Palacios all earning big wages and all of whom we want rid of. Without knowing for sure, I'd take a guess that those six players combined are picking up £240k+ p/w. That's a lot of money to spend on players we don't want.

Should we shift them, along with Gio and maybe Bassong, that'll free up an awful lot of money on our wage bill to be able to offer a superstar striker £100k p/w, along with reasonable wage boosts to our current star players, without damaging our financial stability at all.

We're all frustrated at the lack of incomings so far this summer, but I'm fully of the opinion that we can't and, quite rightly, won't sanction big transfers on high wages until we're able to remove the above mentioned players.

What Levy has to do is decide whether his set asking prices are worth risking the possibility that we end up stuck with those players when the window closes.

Why doesn't he just come out and say Diarra because it's not really a secret now.

He came out and said as much after the game at the weekend, maybe that's what caused the riots...

Maybe it's Benzema. It seems unrealistic because of all the ITK regarding Diarra. Lass isn't a disappointment, but Jacob says it in a way that means it can't be Diarra - or am I just stupid?

Maybe Kaka will look at this recent unrest as a sign from the 'BIG GUY' to get his arse to Spurs asap and start preaching both on and off the pitch.

So if wages are the issue of the window surely that rules out Adebayor....for sure then!!

By being this vague he can't be wrong.

Unless, ah sod it, why bother? It's as obvious as the nose on Barry Manilow's face. If you approach every bit of ITK as having to be proven as 'right' you're going to end up struggling to obtain and maintain an erection, suffer from sleepless nights and be cursed with incredibly stinky wind. That's what i'm told anyway :shifty:
