Levy refusing to smash our transfer record to sign Diarra..and rightly so imo..

I rate him very highly and think he would be a class addition especially as it looks very likely that Jenas and Palacios will go...

Like i said previously the Diarra deal was not done like some itk's mentioned (not bashing there info at all just saying what i was told)

PSG now also in for Diarra despite already signing Sissoko...really hope we dont miss out on him...

Palacios to Stoke still on but not quite agreed the fee...Also trying to use the Palacios deal to get Crouch in a double deal as there is interest from other clubs for Crouchy...

Hutton off to Villa..

And still trying very hard for a striker..

Expect at least two outgoings by the end of next week

I guess this wasn't the statement Mystery was referring to :(

Or maybe the "something happening behind the scene" fell through.

Luka after tonight's game:

"I don't want to talk about it. I said a lot of things before and things are still the same... still waiting."
Reporter: "Will you be happy if you're still a Spurs player on September 1st?"
Modric: <grinning> "See you."

If Stoke have offered 20m then deal. Get Diarra for 17m and put the 3m towards the 30m for a striker

People go out for a bit, have fun. Enjoy yourself.

not the best week to send lots of angry and frustrated tottenham fans out.

sky news headline....reports of large crowds gathering and wandering the streets for information on.........blue and yellow

Any ITK's mentioned the price of Palacios and Crouch? Because...

The Stoke chairman, Peter Coates, said he was awaiting a response from Spurs over what amounts to a £20m offer for both players. "We've made our last bid," said Coates.

Great deal if thats true! from dailymail http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/10/tottenham-athletic-bilbao-fernando-llorente

yet the paragraph cites an 8 million fee had been agreed for Palacios...so they're offering 12 million for Crouch Eek

I would bet they havn't offered anything like 20 million for those two...if I were guessing more like 14-15 million.

there was no mention of price in the actual interview, the only quote is "we've made our last bid"

I think I'm done with Luka now. After the way the fans swallowed their pride against Bilbao and didn't go for the expected booing but instead showed him how much he is still loved by the club to then come out flirting with Chelsea again is totally out of order.

Don't even sell him. Stick him in the reserves. We can still get 25mil plus for him in a year and it'll send a message to the others. If you're gonna sign a 6 year deal you have to show some bloody commitment.

Someone needs to explain to Levy the word depreciation. Daily fail are reporting he wants 25m for the pair. MORE then they were bought for
