afew weeks ago stoke tried to sign dann and jerome and fee agreed and evrything but obv personal terms cudn't be . its been reprted these players wanted 30+ or in an around these figures so im very curious Why people on here think crouch is must be on around 60k and wilson too wud be willing to go for alot less wage at stoke? and more importantly how stoke wud offer them that when they struggled to get dann and jerome..that is a huge drop in wages for lads. crouch if he leaves will want one last big contract not a shit one.

A £5.5m loss? Fantastic deal!

Well its not bad given the need to shift some of these players to free up space and get them off the wage bill...Crouch is a big earner.

Consider Crouch is now in his thirties and has struggled in the League all last season and Palacios's form hasn't been of a high standard consistently and I would say its decent enough yes.

perhaps the delay of the palacios deal is due to the delay in the diarra negotiations, (not rocket science i know), but still I would understand levy asking for slight more in order to free up funds to secure diarra.

how much would you value crouch at mate??

I take it you've never run a business.

The value of Crouch is whatever Levy can get away with. Like the £6.25m he persuaded Boro to cough up for Mido a few years ago, when dicks on here were saying we ought to pay someone to take him off our hands.

I'd take it, £8mil for each, of course there is going to be a loss, but really Crouch isn't worth more than that anyway, Pal maybe but not much.

Thank fuck you're not running Spurs, then.

Only problem is that Rodwell is shite and every everton fans wants him sold before the myth and hypes dies out and everyone knows the truth.

Firstly you're assuming that Stoke offered their maximum wage to Dann and Jerome, 2 uncapped players, and that they couldn't offer more to Crouch, an international.

Secondly, what on Earth makes you think that Everton are able to offer more in wages than Stoke?

If Stoke have offered around £16m for Crouch and Pal we will have £21m from sales this summer. Surely Levy can part with £10m for Rossi or Llorente can't he if we assume their clubs would accept bids of £31m or have I missed something here?

A £2.25m loss per player for 2 players whose values have gone down, and a deal where accepting now will allow us to bring players in. Doesn't sound too bad

What your missing is neither player would be interested in joining

Jamie Redknapp saying "if Chelsea offer £35m for Modric it'll be like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Must think of it from a business point of view and 2 or 3 quality players can be bought with that cash"

not many big name players at stoke. wud be amazed if any on more than 35 to 40k a week.. even if they bought crouch in thats a big differnce to 60 or 70k to which he wud want imo...

secondly i have no dounts whatsoever that players like saha, cahill, arteta and neville and distin are on some serious 50+ wages. they wud have no prob with wages im sure its the actual transfer fees
