The one we really need to shift is Bentley. Massive wages.

Levy needs to take a big cut on him too.

I think even the man who got £6.25m for Mido will have resigned himself to that, but how much of a loss is he prepared to take.

Gico on ftl yesterday said it will be announced Friday (the adebayor deal) hope it's before.

I would make him right. Had the game been at home tomorrow I could've seen us announcing it a couple hours before and getting him on the pitch before hand.

As it's not they will get the game out the way and announce it on Friday. Get him training over weekend with a bit of luck and decide that he's somewhere near match fit - which is unlikely - and get him at least on the bench vs United.

Ever the pessimist I am finding it difficult to get excited over adebayor. It's a. player who has no future at his current club and over the last 3 seasons has scored an average of 10 goals per season.

I don't see him as a meggastar signal of intent.

Guys, firstly, Adebayor hasn't been signed yet and secondly, where he will play, when he will play and which shower gel he uses after a game is stuff that can be discussed in his own thread.

As for Kranjcar, no ITK today so there's a thread for chat about him too.

Your continued co-operation is appreciated. Thankee kindly.

What? The only ITK worth the name we've had recently is that Adebayor is very close. But we can't discuss where he will play or when, because he hasn't actually signed for us yet? So what can we discuss about this ITK in this ITK discussion thread? And if we wait until he HAS signed for us, it won't be ITK any more, will it?

In terms of a 'megastar' signal of intent, which player bigger than Adebayor could we have got? We aren't big spenders wage wise and we aren't in the CL. Adebayor has played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe and is in his prime. You're being a bit of a fantasist hoping for a bigger 'star' than him.

I agree with this. If someone were to offer £5m for him or in the region of that, he has to go.

I thought Hutton would have been the first out the door to be honest, there's interest there from Villa. So why's he still here?!

TBH the deal for Bentley may be less on fee to offset the wages of the buying club, as a recent ITK stated 'like selling snow to eskimos.....'.

Levy will not like it but i would be amazed if we get even £5M :eek:mg:

Harry has been to see cardoza enough the past 18 months and for him to watch him last night would have to be a serious opinion change. In my eyes it's more likely to be Ruiz he was watching

ryan mentioned Rossi may still be on the cards last night.

I for one am hopeful, most likely to go to the wire as expected.

If we can't sell Bentley then I'd be very surprised if he didn't end up moving to Blackburn on loan with an option to buy. If he's a high earner, as someone else has mentioned it's got to be decent option to get him out of the 25 and get another team to pay at least the majority of his wages.

Ruiz would make sense as a signing, particularly if the Kranjcar stuff is true.

Either way it's starting to hot up. As others have said maybe we'll wait until Friday but it would be nice to see something tied up today.

Ruiz scored last night, which is more than our strikers were doing last season; harry must have been wetting himself.

Thought it wasn't him 'Arry was watching, thought it was Cardozo (Who also scored) probably why 'Arry left at HT

If AB has signed, I'd like to see the club announce it today to give us all a little boost before we head off to Scotland, plus it would give him a chance to settle in quickly in time to (hopefully) make his debut against Utd.

I sure City would like that too, especially if he does some damage to Utd.

As some ITK said yesterday, the Adebayor deal has proved to be a massive headache due to having a player who could not command the wages he's on now at any other club in the world but who feels entitled to continue to be paid what MC put in his contract and added to this is MC's squad size issues and them being reluctant to sell/loan to a rival.

However, if all the haggling is now over on Ade, i think any other deals will be a lot more straight forward. i.e. here's the transfer fee, here's the wages, do we have a deal?

If we are intent on getting in at least one more striker now, be it Llorente, Rossi or another, we now know we are not desperate and know what Ade has taken out of the budget.

Let's go and make Blue and Yellow a reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any news from the 'Blue Moon' end re Adebayor? I thought it was still seen as way off on a deal being struck but I could be wrong.
