Basically today the general consensus has been that Adebayor should be announced very soon. Redknapp has said we will look to strengthen our midfield regardless of if Modric stays and there has been a huge wave of ITK saying expect more signings.

Also BEN has said King will play against both Manchester sides and POTL has said Krancjar is not leaving.

Nice one mate

Why are people still posting links to awful websites in the ITK discussion thread? As the mods keep saying, this not the place for them.

In the last window we were after a striker and nearly got charlie adam!! so expect anything i'm afraid....i'm beginning to hate the transfer windows.

Degfinitely with you there.

Although i think the ITK from today has shown that all those people who have been quick to slam Levy are pretty naieve about what it takes to make a transfer happen.

Unless you Man Utd or Man City or you are going to pay way over the odds for a player that not many other teams want anyway (i.e. Liverpool), the transfer window is a very difficult time. Chelsea aren't exactly getting things their own way either and Goons are going backwards.

DL clearly is working hard with lots of potential deals. He cannot risk the financial future of the club, however, so has to hope that things pan out for the best.

We will never know why we haven't signed or gone for certain players but i have faith that the reasons are ones that are in the best interests of the club.

I love how this forum has swerved from "we won't sign anybody" doom to "we're going to sign everybody" euphoria.

I think if we plump for somewhere in the middle of that chaos then we'll all be okay.

Athletico has signed osvaldo who we were after for 20 million euros. They say Forlan not for sale. Could this mean that falcao won't go there ? :)

Wouldn't want Drogba and Kaka tbh. Yes, they are great players, but they are old. They've got 1, maybe 2 seasons, left in them. Get some young quality in instead, there's loads of young exciting talent we could get relatively cheap and start building for the future, not getting quick fixes for a season or two. Spending big bucks on aging players on massive wages can easily mess our finances up, better to get young up and comers instead.

As much as we all dislike Arsenal, there's something to their way of doing business. They spend very little money on young talent and keep their finances intact, instead of doing like Chelsea or Man City who are spending silly sums on older players. We can't rebuild our squad every 2-3 years, that's not viable. Get players before they become stars and make them a part of the squad, screw the mercenaries.

We're 'in' for Diego pretty much every window. Although I think there is probably a bit more cause for substance this time around in that he's had a bust up with Wolfsburg, but still, can't see it happening.

I don't know why people are thinking the 'pairs' thing is anything to do with players with the same surname or something. A pair is two, it quite obviously means 2 players in or 1 out 1 in!

Just got a text off my mate with a photo of Lassana Diarras range rover parked outside a housing block in Hampstead, he was showing people around a flat (he's an estate agent) and as he came downstairs Diarra's car was just sitting there and he walked past him.

I'll get the photo uploaded.
