Harry's outspoken views are also the repeated story.. Why does Harry need to spk up on Adebayor or Mata. Even when asked direct questions (and he wasn't on MAta.. he chose to throw that one in there) Harry is media savvy enough to deflect. Let's not forget that it's Harry who has whipped up this Modric frenzy - ask yourself why?
Sorry, but what? Modric has whipped up the Modric frenzy?

Silly me. I thought it was because the little rodent shitbag spoke to Chelsea and has tried to force a move.

I must have been deluded.

Redknapp admitting to going for Downing and Young

So we ARE after a winger!

We need to sign some players. Have we really shown anyone our ambition so far?

Zamora isn't an upgrade. I'd be very disappointed if we signed him

Last day of the window!? Again!? Really!?

Oh ffs...

He is. I think he had more goals and assists combined per minutes played than any other player last season.

Regardless of his actual production he has developed quite a lot as a player since his time with us and in a sort of Kevin Doyle way he would add something to our forward line that none of our current forwards possess.

If he was the only striker we signed I'd be massively disappointed. If he came in as back up to Adebayor so that we actually had two strikers capable of playing with VDV and able to hold up the ball, then I'd be reasonably satisfied. Not delighted but I wouldn't be against it.

I know his itk credentials are somewhat disputed, but Jasper on SO posted this earlier:

"I am really confused by what the media is reporting here. We agreed wages and structure of deal ages ago. the wages is now not an issue, the player has agreed to a huge drop in wages if there is a short-fall. He is really desperate to come!

I believe after the 12 month period and they wanted assurances that subject to him not being injured we would sign him. The agreement was 12M, and we can sign him now for a little less to factor in wages and bonuses. The call is/was HR's if he wanted a permanent, but he has told DL he only fancies a loan, and this is believed to be he knows it will effect the budget (now) that he has been given. All parties are very confident the deal will conclude; and further more he would not of played tomorrow, and cannot play against citeh. The deal is done in principle, its just the guarantees and undertakings of a permanent that needs to be ratified (after 12 months)."

Well, I don't know about a fucking storm but there certainly is an ill wind blowing through Spurs at present.

If the club do monitor forums (which you would, wouldn't you?), then I hope that the current sentiments are getting through loud and clear.
This window cannot be fucked up again as it will quite possibly set us back years. They'll be a flamin' uprising for sure!

If true, Levy MUST stop playing games with OUR club.

I guess if we're shipping out Defoe or Crouch, bringing in another English striker wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Jasper's info makes a lot of sense, City obviously want assurances that they are unlikely to have to take Adebayor back.

We have already agreed the deals for Diarra and Adebayor IMO. For whatever reason there signings are being delayed. Probably because we don't want to be hung out to dry on the sales of Palacios and Crouch or Pav. Who the former are going to inevitably going to replace.

Hopefully now Levy will start making moves for a backup to Lennon. Even though some of you get a stiffy over Kranjcar I believe we need a wide player with genuine pace and quality to compete with Lennon, Kranjcar is not that guy. I hope Levy/Redknapp still have this is in mind. Maybe Marin but i'm not so sure he likes playing off the RW he is more of a right footed left winger from what I know.

Sorry lads, but what ambition does it show to bring back someone who flopped that has been pretty mediocre for a pretty mediocre team?

I'm sure Booby coming will make Luka rethink his decision (!)...from Aguero, Llorente and Rossi to Zamora in 7 months... I would NOT be happy.

Zamora would basically be an upgrade on Crouch. He's stronger, has better linkup play and gets more goals (though admittedly that isn't hard).

As IOMLS says, if he's our main striker come 1st September I'd be disappointed, but as competition to an at times erratic Adebayor he'd be a good call if there isn't much else available.

I'd imagine he'd be our Rasiak style last minute option though if anything.

If we ended up with Adebayor and Zamora in place of Keane and one of Pav/Crouch, that would be a massive upgrade.

Would take Zamora on a 6 month loan while we're waiting for Leandro.

He's a better option than Defrouchenko as an understudy for Adebayor - at least he can play the lone role.
