If he is then massive questions have to be asked of his effectiveness as chairman. As it stands he's already blown the chance to make a statement and show ambition and he's now in the firefighting zone, so I think whatever happens in the next week will either define him or completely undermine his credibility in the eyes of the fans.

Agree completely, I'm hoping that Levy can restore my waning faith.

If this is the case, I'm of the mind that we shouldn't be paying him. He's an adult and supposedly a professional, if this is the reason...he's rapidly plummeting in my estimation of the man. Not at all the character that I thought he was.

Much has been said about the players Liverpool have brought in as not being good enough, but their early form has been good. They wanted players and they went out and got them pretty much straight away.
Levy on the other hand has dithered anf fucked around and thinks he can ride on his "no players will leave" standpoint.

We have discussed this before and my opinion has always been that sometimes you have to take short term risks for long term gain. But Levy seemingly only ever looks at the short term and how many dleas he can get done that will go down as "good business". What he doesn't realise is that sometimes this has and continues to undermine his abilitiy to get players before other clubs. I think what Harry had to say yesterday about having Mata almost in the bag is very telling. It seems to be a repeated story of the past few windows....and, if the ITK is to be believed, may possibly be happinging again with the Adebayor delay.

Quite simply Levy needs to realise that if he wants to be Billy Big Bollocks over Levy then he also needs to put his money and his actions where his mouth is. As it is we already have one failure to chalk up in his failure to show ambition early in the window after the general concensus of two failed previous windows.

Harry's outspoken views are also the repeated story.. Why does Harry need to spk up on Adebayor or Mata. Even when asked direct questions (and he wasn't on MAta.. he chose to throw that one in there) Harry is media savvy enough to deflect. Let's not forget that it's Harry who has whipped up this Modric frenzy - ask yourself why?

These players will obviously all take a while to settle too unless they come from another PL club and speak the language, Levy mustn't have looked too closely at our early games as there are a few doozies in there and we needed a settled and strengthened squad for them.

Lessons have been learnt eh? The lack of business concluded early is really setting alarm bells off now. It will take a big signing to get me back onside now and you all know how us trying for a big signing worked out last window, we were made to look like fucking mugs with Aguero etc. Other teams were actually laughing at us and with good reason and in the end it did cost us our CL place and helped put us in this position with Modric.

9 days now left and not one new outfield player signed and settled and playing an (understrength) Champions away tonight...fuck sake Daniel.

I think if we do get Ade and Lass in then transfer deadline day could be quite fun, if we haven't then it could be a bit depressing in here...
