He takes the piss out of Arsenal on Twitter.

BAE will not be leaving Spurs this January, let alone to Arsenal.

I really can't see Levy sanctioning a buy out clause for ANY of our players. Fair enough if we were Tottenham Hotspur of Spain, where I think its a requirement?

Even if by chance he did have a buy out clause, I am sure we would be willing to offer him a new and improved contract.

if a buy out clause is met does it mean the club HAVE to sell?? Surely not...

I think you have to let a club talk to a player if there is a buy out clause and it's met otherwise there'd be no point of having it.

We are not currently doing anything with Chris Samba from Blackburn.
We are still talking with Cahill! Hope it stalls and we do Vertonghen in the summer instead
Ganso is not being lined up in the summer.

would also prefer vertonghen, when you say Ganso not being lined up in the summer, are you alluding to us lining him up for this window?

Right, now that's out of my system, what's this about Benny?

Shirley DL will give him a payrise. He's one of the best left backs in the league.

 Never really come across one for us. I think he will stay. Give him a new contract, take that bloody clause out.

I find it hard to believe Levy would have a release clause in any of his players contracts, and if he did it would be insanely high. When did Benny last get a new contract?

Benny should be a high earner at our club though, consistently good, never causes a problem, one of the top left backs in the league, give him a rise Levy!!!

I thought it strange how he went straight down the tunnel at the final whistle, and then I read this bullshit - my mood has swung...

His agent may have negotiated a buy-out clause if the club were only offering a low wage...

Just an idea.

“If it is possible I would love to sit down with Harry Redknapp and the chairman and talk about me spending the next 10 years at Tottenham,” he said earlier this month.

“It would be fantastic for me. I love the club and I love London. I hope I can stay for a long time.”

Just pay him the money and he will stay, probably just looking for a pay rise.
