I think that we'll settle for Pienaar and Kranks till summer. They have experience and are good players.
If we were to sign anybody in January, it'll be Cahill OR Samba - Hoilett or Remy.
Cahill and Remy is still the preferred two.
LD deal has gone quiet.
If deals came for Kranks or Pienaar then we would go for Hoilett, but i think that may wait till summer.
Tevez is Harry's special signing. Whether Man City will sell to us or not, we'll have to wait and see but i doubt it, we are now a real threat.
Jose may go for Tevez, he prefers Niemar.

Who?

Cheers for passing on, but I don't see City selling Tevez to us in a million years. Even if we had a bid accepted, we couldn't afford his wages either

Can see PSG or Anzhi coming in for him now, seeing as they are pretty much the only clubs who could afford him.

if we win league or just get top 3 anyway then i think a top striker in summer will look after itself been honest..it will be alot easier getting one. the question is what and who can we bring in now that will simply lift whole place, give us extra confidence strength and intensity on the pitch and drive us on big time. again i think we have to wait our turn in food chain and hope a striker might shift our way. as for wide player not seen enough of howlett been honest to warrant opinion but surely there must be better out there.

Oops - Neymar ;-)

He may take a pay cut though and huge signing fee.
But it seems far fetch!

Whilst on the throne i had a mad thought (ok two mad thoughts but one of them you don't need to know about), say Ade doesn't wish to sign for us in the Summer and we don't get Leandro how about Dzeko? I honestly think City will go and buy another striker, i'm not sure he's a fan or management favourite, if the deal was right would you say no? I think he'd be the just the ticket for us.

I agree, Dzeko will almost certainly be replaced in the summer (and he can't be happy about being 3rd choice as it is) and would be on the market at a discount. I'd like him but as with Adebayor, his wages are going to be a massive problem. He's on 180K a week I think (maybe even 200K?) so he's another one who's going to have to take a wage cut or be subsidized if Man City want to sell.

i'd take ade over dzeko given the choice. dzeko's the better finisher but ade fits our style of play far better and also works a lot harder.

No idea where to post this and I might get in trouble if it's wrong but here goes... I'm not itk at all- other than this one piece I don't ever expect to get any more in the future. This was a chance conversation with someone who would know the real story.
I was told Harry is keen to offer Drogba the two year contract that Chelsea are holding off on. No idea whether it will happen or whether Levy will sanction it, just that Harry wants him in this window..
Just passing it on. Don't shoot the messenger

I'd be amazed if he wasn't interested

I can't see Chelsea selling to us either. The only way we could get Drogba is if he was out of contract. Of course, then there'd be other clubs interested.

One of my friends has told me Marseille don't want to sell Loic Remy this window and it would take £25million for them to even start talking to us at the moment. Has this been reported in the press does anyone know?

Yes.

Remy, Cabaye, Abidal, Pato are names I've heard in recent weeks.
