My bad about Inter. That being said, their best player can't unseat a 30+ year old who spent two season fighting relegation

He's somehow generated that impression but actually he isn't.

He gets team news correct (because he's mates with Lennon) but he hasn't got anything transfer related correct for a long time.

He isnt mates with Lennon

If you rate those players fair enough.

I rate them enough to belive they would improve our squad now...and our chances of winning the title will improve now by improving our squad now.

Understand it would be difficult to improve the first team...but that isn't the only way to improve the team/squad.

Harry was just on talksport saying we are not really in for anyone. He was asked about Cahill he said he liked him but we already have good defenders at the club. Said we are not really chasing anyone. I know its Harry so might not be true.

Not sure if anyone has already said but was also reported Pato not going to PSG.

Apparently AC and Inter have pulled out of wanting to sign Tevez.

I think he could be the one we chase now.

Hi by the way! I'm new here.

FYP

Hi by the way! I'm new here.

I am more than capable of believing some outlandish things (I believed we had a shot at the title after the first two games of the season :eek:mg:), but I absolutely will not believe that Citah would sell us Carlos Tevez.

Welcome to the site...I see trouble on the Horizon

Haha! We can dream though right?

To be honest, It would be nice to see any striker at the moment. Remy, Leandro, anyone! A nice fresh face upfront could be the push we need. Hoillet and Samba would be nice also.

:hello:

Would it really help signing tevez at this stage? he's hardly played at all this season, and would need at least a couple of months to get up-to-speed. that's not to say that he wouldn't be a great long-term purchase. but, as it pertains to this season, his influence would likely be minimal.

Ref Tevez.

Can anyone match Tevez's wages? With years to go on his contract whoever he goes to Citeh are going to have to pay a portion of his wages. He knows he's only got to sit tight to collect 230k a week, so they need to do something like we had with Robbie Keane when we bought him from Leeds or as we currently have with Adebayor.

Last year City wouldn't deal with us (Bellemy) because we were viewed as direct competition, last summer they did because frankly they no longer considered us a threat... Can't see them dealing with us now with the positions we find ourselves in. They are already giving us £100k a week to pay Adebayors wages, Can you see them giving us another £100-150k a week to take another quality player off them and making us an even bigger threat to them?

As he has been AWOL for ages now I thought they were not paying him (well were paying him and immediately fining him the same amount)

Well then POTL is talking bullshit.

There's no way we wouldn't sell Pienaar, a 29yr old fringe player, if the right offer came in.

Does anyone in their right mind think Levy would turn down an offer of £10m+ for him?

Seconded, they certainly aren't an average Brazilian team.

Does anyone in their right mind think any team would bid £10+ million for Pienaar? We'd get £4million at absolute best.

Whilst on the throne i had a mad thought (ok two mad thoughts but one of them you don't need to know about), say Ade doesn't wish to sign for us in the Summer and we don't get Leandro how about Dzeko? I honestly think City will go and buy another striker, i'm not sure he's a fan or management favourite, if the deal was right would you say no? I think he'd be the just the ticket for us.

I think that we'll settle for Pienaar and Kranks till summer. They have experience and are good players.
If we were to sign anybody in January, it'll be Cahill OR Samba - Hoilett or Remy.
Cahill and Remy is still the preferred two.
LD deal has gone quiet.
If deals came for Kranks or Pienaar then we would go for Hoilett, but i think that may wait till summer.
Tevez is Harry's special signing. Whether Man City will sell to us or not, we'll have to wait and see but i doubt it, we are now a real threat.
Jose may go for Tevez, he prefers Niemar.
