It's easy for us all to get giddy with mooted transfers and new players but I hope that anyone who stays can stake a claim to a squad place. Even Huddlestone, Lennon, Parker, Dawson and Defoe appear to be becoming close to persona non grata to people mentally building new formations full of world stars. They're all able to contribute and whilst they might not be our long term future, they're on the payroll right now and it's a long season. Maybe we'll actually try in the Europa League for once?

Completely agree - I really think what cost us last year was that the squad wasn't rotated some of the players were running on empty come the end of the season, hopefully it will be a squad game again next season.

ITK seems to point to Sturridge but surely we must have a flagship striker in mind. possibly pushing harder for Leandro.

Wierd. We havent been linked with many strikers, so guess most of us sort of suspected Ade would be the main man up there next season.

Lets hope AVB have set his (pretty) eyes on Falcao

Goal machines like Falcao or Drogba. Maybe the most interesting question: what will happen in the forward position?

I know it is unreal but imagine someone like Cavani, Soldado, Higuain or Falcao in the number 9 spot
