I like the way this transfer has gone through about 5 of the classic 'Levy' stages of a transfer, purely through the medium of Ben Fairthorne's tweets.

4. Deal put back til summer
5. Might happen

Yeh no shit, the guy could be doing a medical with us today and it would still be a long way from us actually announcing him on the OS.

Good to see that we have a few possible targets though. I wouldn't had thought that Pjanic is high profile enough for the likes of PSG, Chelsea and City. Also how many attacking midfield players can Chelsea accumulate??? See they are after Paulinho as well now!

As for the scum, well they already have a player in his position there (Carzola) who we wont oust so little point him going there.

We serious need to do a lot of business in January to sort out the team and get it prepared for a push to the top four. If we don't do much in Jan we must be prepared to make serious moves in the summer market.

AM- we need to desperately someone here. The two we have at the moment are nowhere close to being good enough to move the team forward.
-Eriksen should be at the top of our shopping list.
-If Southhampton get relegated then Gaston Ramirez should also be on our list.
-Kaka. This is where our new relationship with Real madrid could do us the world of good. The lad is still a classy footballer and in the right system I have no doubt he could be at least 80 per cent of the footballer he was and that'd be more than good enough.
Continuing with the current bunch we have in that position is a big no no.

CB our current set is holding us back. Caulker has a lot of talent but he isn't ready yet to be a starter. Dawson is as good as done. Gallas is done. Khumalo is a mystery and one of our quality centre backs has been injured for a long time so we don't know how he's gonna look when he comes back.
Shawcross- quality centre back and we could do with his violence back there.
Santana- Dortmund's third choice defender is a quality defender, the only problem for him is that he's behind two world class defenders,he wouldnt if he came here.

Our strikers are neither here nor there. Defoe scores goals but his hold up play and he makes Robben look like a selfless player. Adebayor has been poor so far and is as inconsistent as they come. I think we should make a judgement depending on how Ade does this season.
Cisse- he's been poor this season but we've all seen what he can do.
Michu- has been class this season.
Demba ba- if newcastle throw a fit about Cisse how about signing him?
Doumbia- very good striker, wonderful accelerating and very good finisher. However he doesn't have the height that I like in strikers.

What's the opinion on Sessegnon? I never watch Sunderland but from what I see on the odd live game/highlights and when they play us he always looks creative and lively.

Sessengnon was great last season but this season he's been dissapointing this season. It's as if he worked hard at getting a big contract now that he has it, he doesn't give a damn. Plus Martin O'neal can suck the life out of any great attacking player.

Shane Long....maybe difficult to get him as WBA are flying, but he is going to be a really top player very soon, he will end up at a top 4 club very soon,imo.
