@BFairthorne: #Pjanic advisors tell #Spurs that he is open to move but other clubs interested. Further talks tomorrow.

Drogba hell yes. He's going to the ACN I assume, but even then he'd be an absolute gem for the last 4 months of the season

More chance of signing Axel Rose. Witsel has only just moved to Zenit for over £30 million.

Oh I agree and am fully aware. Since everyone else is throwing out dream teams, I thought I might as well mention one I would like.

Mentioned previously but I maintain that he would be a good signing. Almost feels like he 'lost his way' at Roma. He's shown flashes but hasn't really put together a great season like many thought he would when he moved from Lyon. Nice positional versatility among formations as well.

Maybe he could put in a good word to Dzeko.

after watching a few Borussia Dortmund games mario gotze looks like a stand out top class player in the mould of David silva. At only 19 or 20 and able to dictate games I would rather try to tempt him than Willian, isco etc. top top player and would cost around the same as Willian

Is this a joke?

since your switching your best CB to LB, and the 2nd best defender is out for long term injury, yet your current fifth option can't play that much, you can safely treat Huddle as CB in 5th pecking order, this IF the worst happend, he would be benched.
IMO, if we've better Mid, it's better than have poor Mid. and Gallas as CB !
I'm saying this, because we should sell Gallas. My thoughts about this clear.

In an attempt to work with your logic here, why not sell Huddlestone who is conservatively worth £8m and not sell Gallas who is optimistically worth £1m.

That way you're £7m better off and you have an actual CB, albeit one not on form and ageing rapidly, as cover for your 5th CB option.

Can't believe we missed out on Moutinho, top, top player. Would have made us challenge for the top three.

I think it still may happen.

The only thing that has changed since deadline day is the sale of Hulk. There's still a lot of will for it (from the player, AVB etc.).

Rule that one out then, we only ever have a chance with Levy's approach if we're the only club in for the player, and even then it's 50/50 that we'll cock up the deal.

Ohh yeah, and the fact that Porto has qualified for the next round of CL.
- Would love to see us sign him, but can't see it happen in January.

If my calculations are correct if we sign anyone this January it will be the result of a deal Levy has been working on since 2002 when he still had 14 hairs on his head.

If they are slightly above average and under 15m then we will sign them. If they are genuine class then we will chase them for ages, the deal will have multiple complications and have about a 1/8 chance of being successful. it's ok though because we will always be able to go through the same bullshit in the summer window.
