Seen we have been linked to Ince. Is it just me or would anyone else be underwhelmed if we spunked 10m on him?

He was worse than Lennon in terms of a final ball against Northern Ireland in the recent England U-21 match. He looked utterly clueless when it came to making a final decision with the ball. Totally baffling considering how good he's been for Blackpool.

This might be of interest to you Snarfalicious:

Response from Gards in relation to Ince:

Dan @Gards44
@jetsetyid @AaronLennon10 we are looking at him! Also St etienne striker!

Gards seems to know his stuff, so hopefully this one is true....

Am not getting hopes up on players like moutinho, isco or Willian. I think he will play Parker, Sandro and Dembele as a 3 man midfield when Parker is fit, but not enough football in that for me. I think Ince and one other will join

I would be very underwhelmed by Ince. He is just seems like a typical over hyped English footballer. Good on the ball but lacking in tactical and spatial awareness so makes poor decisions. Same goes for Wifred Zaha.

I think this whole Dembele thing just exacerbates the shortcomings of Levy to an extent. I will not say 'fuck you Daniel Levy' but it's kind of hard to feel like he hasn't dicked us (and AVB) over this season because he couldn't even just add some quality depth. Our striker situation, our winger situation, our midfield situation, our LB situation. I'm not talking about not getting a guy like Moutinho, I'm thinking more along the lines of guys like Aubameyang, Clasie, Isco that were all estimated to be worth reasonable fees (8m-14m range) and all would have been enormous for us.

This is the extent of my venting, but it's really becoming a huge issue that is holding this club back. He needs to be more aggressive early, yet he doesn't seem to want to at all. Ugh, we need depth, not even world-class players, we just need some depth that can help the squad not drop off a cliff when one guy goes down with injury.

You're quickly becoming my 2nd favourite poster.

I have seen him live a couple of time; most recently against Bristol City a couple of weeks ago (as one of my mates is a Blackpool fan). I was keen to go along and see Ince, as the last time I saw him live (last season) I was far from impressed.

To be honest, I was very underwhelmed, he cannot beat his man and most of the team didn't even try, constantly passing sideways inside. His movement is also poor and he seems to have limited pace.

I consider that based upon the matches I have seen him in he would be a significant downgrade on Lennon and even Townsend and Falque, whom I rate a lot higher.

If we going to spend £10 million on a young winger lets add a few more million to the kitty and go for Isco.

He also said that that AVB is keen on Walcott! You can say 'no' to him on that one Mr Levy, as far as i'm concerned...

Agreed, another square peg for a round hole. Walcott wants to be a striker rather than winger, we don't need a striker in his mould who is untested.

Like the look of Real Betis' CM, Benat (25).

Plays that deeper playmaking role, getting rave reviews at the moment, and has been called up to the Spanish side recently.

Think Isco may just be out of reach, even if we do cough up the £17.5m needed to match his buy-out clause. One we should be keeping an eye on is Nuremberg's Japanese playmaker, Kiyotake (23). Looks like a real talent.

Up front, I'd still be willing to take a chance on Ba, despite his injury worries. He is a ready-made Premiership goalscorer, and a very good one at that. And for £7m (buy-out clause), we can't go too wrong. Llorente & Huntelaar should be available for even less considering they are both out of contract come the Summer, but they will have most of Europe chasing them, and I doubt we will be considered for very long.

Whats worst is that townsend looked better than him for the U21 and the commentators highlighted as Townsend as englands biggest threat but Ince did make one amazing run before having a insanely weak shot

All bias aside, I thought Adam Smith and Townsend were the stars of that show. Ince would make these very nice runs, and he would get to the final third and what would best be described as completely fucking up with his decisions. At one point he went to the end line, stopped, and tried to pass it back when he had a wide open opportunity to cut in. Then, on two separate occasions he had generous deflections drop to his feet in the center of the box and he cut outside. He looked like Aaron Lennon but with a worse idea of what to do with the final ball. Totally unimpressed and almost to the point where it was frustrating to watch him.

That buy-out clause expired in the summer, so they will be looking for about £35m for him now?
