He's had a lot of stick on this forum but I thought he was magnificent today. Some great touches and unselfish play. Little neat and disguised passes as well. I haven't ever really seen this to his game but it was great to see.

Everyone happy with him today?

Very happy so far. Was gutted for him when the shot hit the bar but then he came up with a moment of genius seconds later to assist Bale. He needed a good game badly and so far has delivered.

His best game in a Spurs shirt by some way.

Fingers crossed this is the game he really kicks on from.

Fair play to him, had a good game from what I saw.

We need to give new players more time, not everyone adapts instantly, even if they are used to the league. New team, new environment etc

True he did get a lot of stick but it wasn't unwarranted and the fact he wasn't dropped doesn't exactly help the players below him in the pecking order. Congrats to him today on a good second half but he is lucky that he got the opportunity to play that shit in earlier matches and still be able to play

I was going to make a thread like this, you beat me to it!
Thought he was quality today and it will be a massive boost to his confidence. Get behind him COYS!

Yes he was outstanding I thought today

Looked strong and committed through out

Was really unlucky not to score when his shot smashed the bar, but in all honesty I think it worked out for the best (although he may not agree) because seconds later it enabled him to showcase some real skill and version to set up Bale for his goal (which I think capped off a magnificent performance for Clint, not forgetting his roll in Defoe's second as he set Lennon away after Sandro's fine work)

Great to see and hopefully this is an indication of what's to come from him.

had a golden minute (shot then assist) which could well change his spurs future. different player when confident.

You don't want him to succeed.

He failed to exploit the space between defence and midfield in the first half but was much much better in the 2nd

Best performance in a spurs shirt.

Today or more the last 60 mins or so he started to look more like the player I saw at Fulham. He must take this on from now and build his confidence. Certainly has the capabilities to be a part of this squad.

So glad to see him put in a good performance. He just needs to keep it going now.

He was up against a pile of shite, so let's see if this continues on Wednesday before we start to get too forgiving over his piss poor performances so far

He had a good half, not a good game. A Game consists of 90 minutes, Dempsey performed well for about 45.

I don't mind him, but let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. I'm sure by the end of the Liverpool game everyone will be asking for him to be sold again...

I do want him to succeed but the matter of the fact is we brought a player in sig as well as having some great youth prospects and what would they think after watching his last ten games and him being shocking and him still being played in his best position
