u cant instill mentality in anyone.. u either have it or u dont.

I watched Man Ure today live, and i know that between Spurs and Man Ure where the players are who have the right "mentality" to play this game at the very highest level, and they ain't playing for Spurs. Skill aside Old Big Nose sign's players with the right mentality first. We just sign players who play pretty football. Roberts was the last Spurs player who played anything like what i saw Man Ure play today.

Sandro, Verts, Parker, Kabul, Dembele and Bale have those qualities but after that?

Also maintains our win/loss record with Dembele in a sense. He's on the pitch - we win. He's off the pitch - we lose.

Not that I'm blaming AVB for taking him off. I suppose he's still unfit. However, as soon as I saw him leaving the field I couldn't help but feel as though our chances of holding on for the win were set to drastically dwindle.

I think the problem goes far deeper in who goes off and on late in the game. Weve lost late goals in 6 or 7 games this season, each with different subs late in the game. Dembele on doesnt make up for awful defending

Yep. The manner of the defeat was gutting, but there's no shame in an away loss to Everton and to take three points would have been a real smash and grab from us.

I agree. As it said it isn;t as simple as Dembele. The defending and the team mentality has to improve. But it is something of note. He gives the defence some breathing space by keeping the ball. One of the only players we have who looks comfortabke on the ball.
