Let's wait and see. I hope it's true and it'll be a fecking miracle if that is the case.

I presume McEvoy has been created as Bale's spare parts, so therefore we just take the right ankle and replace it. Job done, fine for Everton game....

... yes? YES????????? :nailbiting:

Only positive is Everton are without Fellaini and Pineaar and they can be got at.

Then after Basel we have a 10 day rest before our next game due to Chelsea game being re-arranged.

*Prays and hopes* Bale just misses them 2 games
What do we have to get at them win now?

Bale's season is over, I'm afraid. We've got six weeks left in our season and he's not going to make it back. Hopefully I'm wrong, but it seemed like his ankle went so far over that there have to be quite a heavy strain on those ligaments. If I had to guess, it'll be around two months.

If Lennon is out as well, we're well and truly fucked. Which club has ever lost both wingers in the same game?

Our Champions League hopes now rest on either Chelski or Arsenal collapsing badly. We've got three very difficult games coming up where we would need Bale badly. I'm afraid Chelsea and City will be too good for us without Bale. Everton possibly too. Wigan are playing quite well at the moment so I'm not counting on us getting more than a draw there, if that. The only two games where we will be clear favourites even without Bale are Soton and Sunderland, both at home. If we are to have any chance of a top four finish barring a total meltdown elsewhere in London, we will need a serious improvement from practically all of our other attacking players. We can still field a rather good lineup but now all of our attacking substitutes will be inexperienced youngsters.

Ade
Siggy - Holtby - Dempsey
Parker - Dembele
Naughton - Verts - Daws - Walker
Lloris

On the bench: Friedel, Caulker, BAE, Huddlestone, Livermore, Carroll, Youngster (Lancaster, Ceballos?)

We do have such depth in attack and on the wings, don't we? Could someone again please explain the point in loaning out Townsend and Kane?

To change subject a little from the fall of Gandalf the Grey, I was quite amazed how quiet they kept him all game. In the middle no joy, on the right no joy, one the left no joy, brief spell at Left Back....again no joy.

not sure what they did bar pressing but it worked, he was probably the most inneffective midfield player on the pitch...Until Andre's Bane Clint Dempsey came on

sorry GF has LOTR on right now:oops:

I know someone said they feel Cellabos is too light weight for EPL but I would disagree...

As I said he has a lot of guile, decent head on him and can beat his man..

Would love to see
Ade
Cellabos Holtby Sigurdsson

Bit of risk taking from AVB why not?

Because he is too lightweight.

I don't get that argument at all, Everton aren't exactly Stoke and you see countless players of a slight frame play well in the league.. Even on the bench would suffice as an option.

Just don't want to see 4 defensive mids and 3 defenders on the bench
