It is too.
AVB isn't even all that. Flopped at Chelsea majorly and lets be honest, the guy made some AWFUL decisions this season.
There really isn't enough face-palm to cover this post

Great point well argued
Personally I've voted for Bale because we know his impact whereas AVB still has to prove himself in the transfer market to show that he can continue his long term plans for the club.
But is it pathetic for people to think that our manager is more important than one player? Is it pathetic for people to argue that the person overseeing what the club does as a whole may be more important than one player? Is it pathetic for people to argue that a man who has pushed us forward despite losing three of our best players may be more important than one player?
No...it's not.
LMFAO at AVB voters!
That is pathetic.
It is too.
That's the bit that makes me vote Bale.
Personally I agree, and as I said I think AVB needs another season to show that he really has pushed us forward.
But it's certainly not ridiculous that some people may think that AVB is more important in the long term.

He has done alright this season, but largely thanks to Bale. Which is why Bale is more important.
Without Bale we would have finished 10 points worse off, and would have left Europe at the Lyon stage. AvB would be a loss but not that considerable.
Can we replace a 80m pound player that dragged us through the second half of the season single handed easier than we can replace a manager who got us 5th.. erm no.

Surely there's at least an argument to suggest that Bale performed as well as he did in part due to the role that AVB allowed him to play.
I'm just playing devil's advocate, but for what it's worth, I don't think that many managers in the league would have got us to 5th (and only 6 points off 2nd) with the squad we had last season.
I'll back up my opinion then.
You lot tell me exactly what AVB does except talk a big game?? I don't think our season was all that great. Look at the results.. Very poor margins and a lot of late, somewhat lucky goals.
Why is Bale more important than AVB? Simply because Bale scored 21 goals in the league alone.. Almost double what our second top scorer (Defoe) got. We were as everyone has been saying a one man band last season and that has nothing to do with the supposed tactical genius of AVB.
Unless you lot have solid rationale like AVB mentored Bale or psyched him up so well - our season had nothing to do with AVB and everything to do with Bale.

Put simply:
Would we have finished 5th or higher without AVB? Well we did it the season before without him..
Would we have finished 5th or higher without Bale? Impossible.
Bold 1) Man Utd have won title upon title relying on late goals, resilience and never say die attitude under Fergie.
- Fair point, but tbh, the late goals were mostly scored by Bale anyway, so further backs up my points.
Bold 2) Well, Bale didn't say that. He said his goals and form were down to a team effort and working with AVB.
- That's just Bale being gentleman-like. That's Bale for you.
Bold 3) Here I was thinking that was part of a managers job ....
- We both know Bale isn't a player (anymore) that needs a manager to show him love to perform. It's like saying Ronaldo wouldn't be as good under a different manager! That's bull and we both know it..
So why didn't he score 21 goals in the league the season before?
Because we had better players then to share the responsibility and therefore Bale didn't need to..
And you don't think that AVB gets any credit at all for arranging the team so that Bale could score those goals despite having his best players sold?
AVB got a higher points total than we've ever got, with a squad that was almost certainly weaker than the squad we had last season. If you want to put that down just to one player then fine...but I'd argue that is incredibly short-sighted.
Because we had better players then to share the responsibility and therefore Bale didn't need to..
All AVB did to accommodate Bale was to start him and sometimes switch him to a central or opposite side role.. Occasionally this was fruitful and sometimes not.
In any case, Bale was on FIRE all season and I don't think that it's down to AVB at all and tbf Bale carried the rest of the team. There were no other stand out performers for me. Everyone else had a very very average or below average season.
I'm not implyign AVB is a bad manager - i just don't think he's anything special.
