agreedJust get the feeling, its either going to turn out bloody exciting even with Bale being sold....
or we'll be sitting here in disbelief come September 2nd.
it's going to be on hell of an august!

The impression I got was that Daniel Levy would find it hard not to interfere with the day to day business, not that Baldini was aware of it when he signed.
Thanks for the info JJ
Have to say I'm a little surprised Soldado and Contrao are the two big/likely names from the Bale money. Not sure people will be happy with that since many hopes to get those two whole keeping bale.
Maybe there is another top tier player we expect that JJ isn't going to name? Here's to hoping.

Maybe they don't want or need Isco anymore...
We've got to have some sort of Bale replacement. Either Di Maria, Lamela or Dzagoev. One of those guys have to be brought in and Levy surely knows this. If he expects there to be no blowback to sell a player like Bale and expect Townsend to step up or Lennon to take his place he's going to be very wrong.
What about Andriy Yarmolenko?
I think people view him as a better play than he is, personally.
PEA (duh), Alan Dzagoev, Erik Lamela and Andriy Yarmolenko are all way more exciting talents to me than Hulk at this point.
I think we will see:
Soldado
Coentrao
1 of Di Maria/Lamela/Hulk
Young CB (maybe Vlad still?)
Problem is we could have done all those deals except the bale replacement without selling bale
So what exactly is bale getting us? Seems like it might just end up being an inferior replacement and a lot more money in the bank.
I'm glad you mentioned him as I sort of forgot about him. I mentioned this awhile back about him when talking about alternatives to Hulk:
I'll crack the funnies, you deal with your PM's
You'd have to feel that he's more attainable than the others seeing as he's still plying his trade in The Ukraine. I think the time is right for him to move as well, a player of his talent now reaching that age where he either moves to a stronger League and pushes himself or drifts into relative obscurity.
If Bale goes, AVB will want Hulk.....
No he is a nice guy however all this rhetoric about Franco 'doing this and that' is bollocks mate. Any club will sell to us if we pay the money! Most Players will play for AVB and like what we are doing at spurs. He is just a mouthpiece for Daniel he isnt telling them anything else that is sealing the deals just a face.

Hulk is left footed, and if he'd stayed Bale probably would have played coming in off the right in a 433.Why? One is a Left winger who has a good record in a free role
The other is a right sided winger

There's nothing in this, Levy and the club were given the impression that he was happy to stay for a year, they told that to Paulinho, Bale changed his tune, the club were as surprised as anyone.Hopefully that would appease Paulinho a little too after we appear to be breaking our promise to him
