Yes our scouts are terrible. Our squad is much worse than it was 3-4-5-6 years ago.
depends if we start the season with Livermore and Fryers as CB's at Crystal Palace, utter joke

Agreed. I replied with that because I think Dempsey catches extra grief because some view him as VDV's replacement.

Get a grip man...keep the faith, we still have a month of the transfer window, these high profile glamour friendlies have far less significance than during previous regimes, be good for some of the team to get a run out but I get the impression that alot more work on team shape, formation and general match tactics are done on the training pitch these days so less emphasis on these friendly games

We bought him the last day of the transfer window as a stop gap 3rd choice striker who could also play in midfield and gave us strength in depth. He scored 12 goals for us. Now we we don't need him (Soldado and Chadli in) we sold him for what we paid for him. Not a bad bit of business.
They obviously doesn't want to risk Dawson in a friendly. Kaboul is on his way back and sadly Vertonghen got injured. The season doesn't start today.

I know and no need to panick, only a friendly game but wouldn't it be nice to just once get a settled side sorted early, I don't give a shit when the transfer window shuts I want the players that are expected to be playing/starting in 2 weeks to be at least at the club to get familiar with the team and tactics now.

Chiriches needed signing about 1 minute before we signed papers with Cardiff. It is more than a little unfortunate that some mad bastard criminal who is currently locked up kyboshes a deal with the player en route to us but eh, unforeseen circs occur quite regularly in life.
