The only thing I would say is. We don't know what was promised to him if anything. Maybe he feels we've breached a verbal agreement.

Bottom line is we know next to nothing. So castigating the player is probably a bit premature

Verbal agreements mean nothing. If he was relying on a verbal agreement then he has a poor agent.

He gets paid to train & play for Spurs, everything else is irrelevant.

But that is their job isn't it? Sensationalist Sports News with the added pressure of being a rolling 24hr channel with time to fill.

People can't criticise Sky Sports News, it is what it is, it isn't CNBC or CNN or BBC Parliament.

They have had news leaked to them about the biggest transfer in history and the number one story of the transfer window and people are surprised and disgusted that they are going over the top. WTF?

Ah I completely agree, I guess where I was coming from is that every other news outlet will pick up on it as they have the same agenda. I'm just sitting back & waiting for what is gonna happen as no matter what is reported, what will happen will happen! Just gotta try and enjoy the ride :wideyed:

Bale and his team have spent half the summer attempting to engineer this move.

I have zero empathy for him, and zero interest in him retaining employment with the club.
There comes a point when enough is enough; he's ambitious, sure, but he's no different to Berbatov or Modric insofar as they all thought they could throw their weight about and get what they want.
And ultimately, they will, but not without their prospective employers paying full whack, as and when we want it.

So, great player though he is, he can fuck the fuck off to Spain and go live the dream.
We have signed 4 quality players and will sign more and are stronger now with them than we were with him and without them last year.

Didn't AVB say he would attend the traing ground for "recovery work" .. That's not training, so he would be indoors in the medical suite.....and he can't use that until this afternoon because lamela is in there for his medical.. Lol

Just an off at a tangent light hearted theory

I'm surprised it's taken this long for people to question Bale's own involvement and approach in all this. He's missed the first three games, so I don't know why people are attaching so much significance to him not bothering with training. I've been well aware that he wanted to go very, very badly for at least a month. It was clear almost as soon as the 'injury' stuff started in Hong Kong. It's also been clear that if he didn't get his way it would get messy quickly.

So Bale flew back to england to strike from home rather than from spain???

Hmm, am I allowed to guess? I guess that this means that the fee is not settled and agreed, but Bale probably thought so, and he flew back to England to say goodbye to his teammates and prepare the move to Spain. But, the fee wasn`t agreed. Real Madrid are not able to pay what Levy requires, and when Bale hears this from his agent or Levy himself, he refuses to show up at the training ground.

RM are probably not able to pay what is necessary, and the spanish banks are maybe and hopefully a little conservative and reserved in these days?? Levy can`t be sure if RM have the money or not, and instead he`s playing a game where he is sending out a message regarding interest from another club as an attempt to "force" RM..

That`s my theory and what I believe..

A pure tactic to weaken our position.

We should lavish praise on him now - and get stuck into him, if true, after he leaves.

I completely blame the club for this. Once again we have failed to make public announcements of intent and dragged our heels.

Suarez, not for sale, get on with it.

Rooney, not for sale, get.on with it.

Bale, ERM, you can leave, but we will wait until we get a proper offer, and we probably won't, so then you have to stay, but we might change our mind again....

Been here before.

Set the stall out. Real, you have 3 days to come up with the goods or the transfer is off and we are happy to keep the player. This all says to me that the ITk on no deal is in place, is correct. Because if he knew he was going in one week or two, he wouldn't be a prick.

Mind you....I've bunked off when working my notice.....

Why the f*** do the club need to make it public? If Madrid (and GB) have been told the conditions then that is sufficient. Why let every other club in the world know what is going on. The secrecy has allowed our deals to go through with an ambiguity as to how much cash we've got or are likely to have. Nobody can bitch slap Levy if he maintains that he's not selling.

I think he has played this well. The only thing he could not take accvount of is GB's reaction. Like me, he probably hoped for better. At presetnGB looks like he could have a worse attitude that the Rat Boy who was at least honest.

They shouldn't call themselves a news channel, but all news channels lie.

Regardless, my sky Sports will be switched off for three months next year. We have the World cup to watch instead of 3 months of bollocks.

I presume that we are not paying him during this time?

I mean, fuck sakes ... is it just me, or when you are changing job do you give your all, like normal, to your employer until the end of the last day or do you just not turn up and expect to get paid?

Footballers live in a different world!
