I'd love to know how many "take down" fouls Woolwich committed just outside the centre circle today, yeah Rosickener got booked for one but there were so many.

Plus so many unforced errors and giving away possession too cheaply.

Could anyone tell me if the whole pitch was watered at half time ? Just a thought, I saw some sprinklers on but there were Arsenal players warming up out there while it was going on, noticed Doris Lloris slipped a couple of times.

I think the unforced errors and giving the ball away too cheaply are symptomatic of players that still need time to gel.

Walker can be frustrating but at least he was giving it a go, we may have won if some others showed his level of desire.
Thought Rose played well.
More disappointed in Dawson and Verts then Walker and Rose.

I agree about being disappointed in Daws and Verts, those 2 were not in sync at all. However, I felt Rose was poor as well. Walker was not as bad as people make him out to be. You're right, he plays with a lot of passion. Drives me mad when he tries to shoot all the time, but he really does work hard. There just aren't many viable alternatives around and I think he's the best we'll get right now. We've just got to work at it as a team.

Think capoo injury forced hand. Otherwise would expect Lewis to have come on did well midweek and would have created chances.

He should have come on for Dembele, not that abysmal decision to go 442. If he had we would have won, we were on top and dominating at that point and just needed some cutting edge, instead we gave away the midfield and resorted to long balls to a couple small strikers vs two defenders, one of which is 6'5 I think.

I for one am satified with today in general play terms. The goal we conceded killed us as it allowed them to sit deep and after they scored we struggled to create enough. The fact is we made arsenal play like an away team at their own ground and had we not made a big mistake for the goal We dominated the game and would have won!

Strangely I've come out of this game more optimistic than downbeat. Give this team time and they will get it right. :)

Keep positive guys.

This is the least disappointed I think I have ever been after an NLD loss. That speaks volumes for me.

Strangely, I was thinking halfway through the second half, what a good option Ade would have been. We'll see.

I really don't understand that Defoe sub. The team was crying out for a creative force like Holtby or Gylfi. Defoe added nothing to the team it was really a pointless sub.

But we played an Arsenal team who have pretty much been the same team for years (the ones that dick on us at home most times) A settled team, a team fighting for the shirt and fans.

We are not a team (yet) we are a selection of players that have barely played a handful of games together. There is no passion for this team yet, at the moment it's a wage, hopefully it will come as players build a rapport with each other and the fans, but it's certainly not a given.

But inpite of all that, we still managed to dominate possession against a team considered one of the best passing teams in European (if not world) football. ok so we didn't look creative but this was never going to be a quick fix, we haven't looked creative since Modric left, and Bale just papered over the cracks so now people think that is football, dribbling and taking long shots.

Too many reaction tests being done on people's patellas today... ;)

"against a team considered one of the best passing teams in European (if not world) football"

Did you just say that with a straight face?

No one thinks that

I have no worries going forward but today we were insipid. Of course lets all look to tomorrow but lets not pretend we were anything but sun-standard today

whats this mean?

saw absolute nothing there today that says spurs will finish ahead of arsenal.
We have a stronger squad than last year that just needs time to gel. Ask yourself the same question later on in the season if we can finish above them. Its far too early to expect that now.

I can't watch matches for you, and I'm not anoraky enough to keep files/notes.

Ok what do you see then? I'll tell you what I saw from him last season. Everything at 100 miles an hour, running down blind alleys. no one was putting Holtby in there teams at the start of the season, or last season so why now? flavour of the week I think.

Chaldi - now who think's he's any good?
I think he's shit. Brings nothing to the team.

Come on then, tell me what Chaldi brings to the team. What did he do today?
Whoever disagree's, instead of mindless ratings, how about some words?

How did bringing on Defoe for Dembele cost us the game exactly?

All of our chances or half chances come after this change! Didn't they?

If you don't know why it's not worth explaining. It's about control, chance development and movement. We got chances in the final 10 minutes once Arsenal brought on 1 then 2 extra defenders and sat back, between Defoe coming on and Arsenal sitting back the game was played out round the half way line with the odd pointless long ball or shit cross to nobody.

rose cant cross to save his life.

walker is brain dead and only his physical attributes and super pace gets him out of grief. worrying.

I'm not sure what people were expecting today. Can't wait to see us play when everyone has had a chance to train together.

I honestly don't think we were bad at all... Once the team settles and starts to learn each others game we will do fine
