We would have one of the best attacking 3 behind the striker in the league, if not Europe, and their average age would be about 20 years old. That'd be titties

The question is, do the fans have enough patience? because for a fee of +40m one would expect an almost instant impact on the team. And none of Draxler, Lamela or Eriksen will be world beaters this season imo.

Would prefer Reus and 45m would be much easier to justify on him.

Ozil to manu, shinji back to dortmund and Reus to us for 45.... having said that I'd prefer to dump that money on Ozil and cut out the middle men.

Do you guys seriously believe that we can buy Reus, and Reus would like to come?

Julian Draxler on the left of a 4-2-3-1 would be awesome with players Lamela/Townsend on the right and Holtby/Eriksen down the middle. Plus it would allow Chadli to be rotated a bit more (with another wide player instead of a more central player being put there).

He seems to be comfortable with both feet so would be great in any attacking midfield spot and his long shot ability would be very useful now that Bale has gone and Soldado is very good at close range (nice mix of shooting in the squad).

Can we do some sort of Levy special like give them like Assou-Ekotto, Adebayor (plus pay some of his wages for this season) and Sigurdsson (not that I want to see Siggy go but we may need to sell a midfielder to make room for another) and some cash. We have already broken our transfer record 3 times this window why not go for 4! ;)

As a Schalke fan, we don't want to give up our best player only to get landed with Spurs' rubbish. Schalke and Spurs are competing at the same level with the same targets, why would we want any of the 3 players mentioned?

Sorry about that I should have made my post sound a little less serious. I doubt that last paragraph is even remotely possible.

I could see Ade and Siggy going to Schalke along with a shed load of cash for Draxler if his stance from earlier this summer has changed.

Would have to adapt to a new environment, we have 3 left backs already, Ade's attitude means you don't know what you're going to get from him and his wages are outrageous, and Sigurdsson never performed for Hoffenheim in the German league so he'd be a risk too. 3 very disappointing signings if any were to happen

Nice to see a fellow Schalke fan (all my in-laws are) - just been whatsapping the Faterland and have been told by a season ticket holding cousin (so not ITK) that the club are adamant he won't be sold without an adequate replacement coming in and KPB was not that replacement. Edit: they have nobody lined up

Didn't he sign a new contract about a month ago? Can't see him leaving on deadline day either.

I'm a fan of German football and I think whatever cap you have on, one thing is pretty clear: Draxler himself is the biggest hurdle in any potential transfer. If the lad maintains his early summer stance of wanting to stay this is all moot.

However if he is now more open to a move, money will talk and Schalke will find a replacement pretty quick.

I said to The Spurs Lad yesterday, IMO the only thing which would cause Drax to leave would be if someone offered the club crazy money and Schalke thought it was too good to turn down, and so the club (I don't want to say force, but I can't think of a better word) forces him out

If the rumours are true and Schalke are interested in Ade, do you not think that we could add him on loan as a sweetner to any possible Draxler deal (I really want Draxler, fucking awesome player).

I find it impossible to believe that we want Adebayor. Also, as Waddler said, Schalke don't have a replacement lined up and doubt they'd want to be hurried into finding one on the last day
