Except when Real Madrid came calling for Draxler he turned em down and kept playing where as Bale couldn't leave quick enough

Yes mate, it was an ironic post, based solely upon the fact that many of us used to say exactly the same thing about Bale. Let's see what Draxler says in 5 years time when he's Bale's age & Real Madrid come knocking ;)

Fair enough, but Bale's change start before Madrid came calling - the first point being him getting his ears pinned back and his hair cut once a week :/

Yep, then deciding he's Billy Big-Bollocks, who will do EVERYTHING by himself etc etc etc. I think it's fair to say that none (or very few) of us would've said any of those things were likely when he was a shy 19 year old kid. Then the worm turned!!

surely could still bring someone in passed that time since England still open

Yeah English clubs can still buy from Germany once the German window is closed, but would a club sell when they can no longer bring in a replacement?

Agreed.
I live in Germany (near Frankfurt...), though if anyone asks who my German team is it's HSV (as I lived in Hamburg as a kid for a bit).

Schalke are not going to sell Draxler, let alone so late in the window. Forget it.

I know they were talking yesterday in the Arsenal v Spurs match on Sky Germany that Draxler was a target for Arsenal, but seeing as how they appear to have landed Özil, I would say IF they were interested, they have clearly had indication to go for someone else.

Very good point.. just a quick question, if the German window closed and say we offered them Siggy and Ade and like 25m (crap deal i know) would they be allowed to take that and the two players or would they have to wait for when window reopens?

They wouldn't no. Once the window closes they can no longer bring anyone in :)

Can't believe we have 8 pages on Draxler, a player that we'll never sign.

I know, yet every time I see that this thread has moved back up the list I think there has been some kind of development, and he is the £45m superstar we are all kidding ourselves about.

This. I would expect us to see someone from our end (Adebayor/Siggy) to go over if there were a chance of Draxler to come over.
