I'm seeing his name banded around quite a bit recently, possibly as part of any deal for Adebayor. Shalke have come out quoting ludicrous numbers and the fact that he is contracted until 2018 (recently extended) and they are in the Champions League (with a decent chance of getting out of group stages) probably rules this out. However, if they cant afford £5m (and say £15m in wages) for Adebayor then they are obviously in serious need of money. Could Baldini/Levy tempt them with some sort of Adebayor + Sig + £20m deal? He fits the profile and would slot in nicely at LWF (appreciate he plays more as a CAM these days). Overkill with Erikson though?

Thought I'd start a thread but realistically probably a year early as this article indicates!

Schalke are not in need of money. Where has it been stated they can't afford his wages? They don't want to pay his wages. There's a big difference.

No. He already turned down big offers from other clubs.
Just to play Devils advocate so too did Eriksen. I agree that I doubt we have a chance in hell tho, would be perfect on the left for us. Just the thaught of a midfield of Lamela, Eriksen and Draxler is mind bending.

Aren't they richer than us?

Plus they've just signed KPB. I don't think they need money

Lucas Ocampos is a similar player that imo has more natural ability than Draxler.

And even though he plays for a team that has even more money, he's not a starter.

I'm almost certain he will be a world class LW in a couple of years.

He destroyed us in the 2nd half of pre-season game

you quoted my post that had an opinion on schalke and another on Lucas Ocampos that plays for Monaco

Gotcha. All of the "they" in the post I quoted was about Schalke, but I see now that Monaco is indirectly referenced as well.
