The sad thing is that I'd put my house on there being a dramatically better attitude from the stands when the 1882 are in town, they're proper fans and not the Johnny come lately type who sit there in silence if we don't put six past the opposition.
So where are they then if not there at the lane if they're these wonderful amazing fans then?

(Busy editing their fucking YouTube videos & refining their podcast & promoting themselves on their website & massaging their twitter egos maybe)

1/2 the people at the lane today have probably been going since before those guys were born.

I for one am glad that he is acknowledging the reaction to his turgid style.

Hopefully we will see less negativity from the team in future as its hard for the fans to perform under such circumstances.

I completely agree with him, the negativity is astounding at the lane at the moment especially today. Some awful twats sitting near me, battered, slating everything we did. It was embarrassing. The game was difficult, Hull played very well and are no pushovers

They don't have much depth and were missing more than half of their starting XI (McGregor, Chester, Livermore, Aluko, Brady only on bench, Koren, Graham) and despite having probably best squad since god knows when AVB only managed to get this out of Spurs. Small wonder people are not satisfied. The performance was embarrassing.

The fact that he needs to do this after our most successful start ever where we are sitting 4th shows everything that's wrong at the moment. I hope we respond by showing him real support.

I know it can be annoying watch us scrap through games but we are winning, the league table looks good and under AVB we tend to get stronger as the season goes on rather than peak at Christmas.

I still believe that once everyone settles we will have a much more fluid team and even if not I won't care if we finish 4th and win a cup.

He's right, that's the bottom line and personally I think he has earned the right to come out and say it.

Three calls by referees is what is stading between him gettting serioulsy bashed, those calls have earned him opportunity to learn something.

He will come to regret this I guarantee it - he should take a look at the boring sideways passing team he has developed. Long may the squeaky 3 points still come as when they dry up he is going find life very uncomfortable

We won the game

We're in the top 4

We're 3 points of the team in first

So...in response to your point I'd have to say...for absolutely fucks sake

Summed up that you don't get it in your first line!

Going to the game doesn't make you an amazing fan, it doesn't even make you a fan, it just means you have deeper pockets than others and you're probably right, half the people at the lane are really, really old (my Dad amongst them) and have been going for more than 30 years but whats the point in being there if you're just going to get on the players backs?

We all want the same outcome, a Spurs win but it's through vociferous positivity that we will see the performances that we dream off, not making the players frightened of failure.

Our support for the team must be unconditional just like it is at the 1882

Without those three penalties and some very good saves by Lloris we would be closer to 10th. Reckon we will continue to be so lucky with the whistle?

If we continue to get into the box as frequently as we do because we control games as much as we do then yes.

And it isn't luck.

If u are moaning about Spurs at the moment you must have missed the mid nineties....or the end of Hoddle's reign where we had 75% of the season left under Pleat....we have been spoilt with never ending improvement since Jol, get behind the club in all aspects or jog on...

It is, we didn't get any penalties last season despite having loads of calls that were much more clear than any we've been given this year. We've been lucky this time around, loads of refs wouldn't have given those penalties. And as for continue to get into box? Yeah, we were constantly there yet again tonight?
