This has to be the reason. He must have fallen out with people at the club to be sacked at this point because otherwise it would make no sense to do it now.

Alright, so the results haven't been great lately but he's still got the highest win percentage of any manager at the club. Probably fallen out with the players and staff because I just can't make sense of this if he hasn't.

Fuck me, even though results have been awful the last month I just can't bring myself to agree with this decision. Last night was the first time I actually thought "maybe he's just not the right man for the job anymore" but I still disagree with this decision.

So you think he was doing a good job this season? Sorry but he has gone backwards after his first season in charge and stop with this "Highest win percentage of any manager" while that's true. If for example Tim Sherwood takes over for the game on weds, wins that, then we appoint a full time manager. Then Tim Sherwood can boast that title.

AVB had far less games in charge than Harry yet only a slightly higher win ration, playing like we have do you really think it would have been the same after another 100 odd games?? I don't.

Don't really see what other outcome there could have been, it was getting embarrassing.

I suppose some people do keep chickens as pets, but is he really the man to rescue us? Also does it mean Rolf Harris will be taking a role at the club?

Sherwood's going to win on Wednesday and be there til the end of the season isn't he

Fucks sake

I'm feeling the beginnings of seething rage now.

And i'm on a diet so I can't even comfort-eat chocolate buttons. DAMN IT ALL TO HELL!

My issue with Sherwood isn't so much that he has no managerial experience but that he's not even really been a number 2 either.

The only tiny bit of hope I have in Sherwood is from the rumours about how he has impressed in his current role at the club. That and the delusion that winning the prem as a player will somehow help him as our manager.

Other than that, I find his personality horrendous and can't forget how he wrote off half our team when he was a pundit on Setanta.

If we have to make excuses already for Laudrup then quite clearly he isn't the man for us.
But it's the same excuses that could be used if we was thinking to sign Rodgers or Martinez. What's the difference between those 3 managers? All managed Swansea. Pretty sure we would be happy with Martinez right?

Breezer you seem to be close to the club so I find your championing of Laudrup disconcerting. That said I will support whoever takes charge.

I hate to be *that* guy but you have to have 10+ games in charge in order to qualify for a win ratio at all.

As much as I like de Boer he is boring as well (His football certainly isn't). Never cracks a smile. A few weeks ago he played Duarte (AM) on the LB spot and told the media his brother came with the idea and he thought 'why not'. It worked out quite well though.

Yes he is unproven on the larger scale but I believe he can do it.

I'm not saying Laudrup is the man! I'm simply can't understand why some people will refuse to give him a chance due to his poor record. Yet they would love Martinez who's record is just as bad! Yes he won the FA Cup but he relegated Wigan. He's now been given a chance at Everton with better players and is doing well. I'm saying maybe Laudrup needs to be given a chance with better players.

Would never happen but I would love Loew. Style on AND off the pitch.

I've been a stern advocate of AVB, but, some of the Hammerings we've taken this season could only lead to one result.

Make no mistake, there were more thrashings on the cards this season.

A real shame, but on we go.
