i think 90% of us on here can tell we lack brains in the final third but wr continue to petsist with players who don't have them, today was no different apart from the fact that we looked very disorganised especially second half.

If Defoe had finished his chance early doors then it would have been a rout i reckon.
The worry for me is that once we did score our passing game totally collapsed.
I did see a fair bit of good in the first 30 mins though, we had options on the ball, we pressed well as a unit, some of our link up play was good, there was a fair bit of bad too, but a few positives.

I think Adebayor and Rose were planned subs, although Ade was still putting a shift in so could have stayed on in hindsight. Soldado and Defoe will never be a partnership and an extra midfield player did make sense.

I wouldn't say he destroyed a team. Bale who wanted to go which was obvious for all to see is the only notable player to leave.
Our football was poor last season only rescued by Bale's brilliance.

maybe, but against a bit more quality we would have been found out. if the weekend is the same its time to worry, hopefully not

Lennon had an excellent half hour, overall a solid first half, went walkies in the second.
I hope your sitting down for this, in the the first 5 minutes, he crossed a ball, first time, outside of the box with his instep, leaning back and it was a thing of beauty, i turned to my missus and confirmed with her what we had just seen, and sure enough i had just witnessed it. 8 fucking years too late.

Without doubt we would have been ruined at the back, but i would like to think Sig in a CM2 was because we were light on options and looking at the weekend game.
I agree though, and have said elsewhere it was too chaotic at times.
