We are not a "joke"! Yes we are bloody enjoyed.
Stop overreacting, we lost away to a good fighting display.
The thing is, it is not about today though is it.

That is the real concerning thing, we have been poor in far too many of our games, but the results have been papering over the very serious cracks.

It was so bad today. We need to gain 7 points on Liverpool which means we have to beat them at Anfield. Finishing 5th 6th or 7th is no big issue for me so I want us to go all out and win the europa now

Just to put this out there, I think it's a blessing in disguise we don't qualify for CL this season.
We are nowhere near good enough & would be made a show of against the majority of teams in it.
We are better off getting a manager in summer who can build a club & seeing how we go without european football.

We are a badly disorganised rabble of a team, under both Sherwood and AVB, that doesn't put enough effort into correcting the often repeated mistakes. Until this happens, both in the macro and micromanagement of the team, we aren't going any further up the table.

The Special One would struggle to build a cohesive team from this bunch of average players. We offer nothing more than Newcastle, Hull, or even Palace going forward. Predictable in build up and short on talent it's now becoming more of a surprise when we win and an acceptable outcome when we lose.

I don't see a single player in our current team that would want to make me drag a friend along to see play. England, MacKay, Sheringham, Bale, Modric, VDV, Gazza, Ardiles, Archibald, Allen, Greaves (yes i saw him play) maybe but Lennon, Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli, Rose, Dawson?

No way, and no way under AVB or Sherwood is this shower going to all of a sudden become a sensation irrespective of set up, tactics or motivation. One hundred million spent on mediocrity, and one hundred million that we are unlikely to see being spent in one window ever again.

agree, but I'm not going we dont have fight, or we dont care. Too many players looked shagged today.

But Paulinho, Dembele and Vertonghen, to name but three look tired and lethargic.

Dire is a little over used I would say tired and above all 'unprepared physically'. Chelsea, Arsenal, City Everton Liverpool are so much fitter and stronger than us...........why?

This I know is a huge subject and not easily discussed here, but it was so evident today.

My only guess to why we're not up for it as much is because we do not possess the mentality and belief that those

We were just very sloppy, but this has been evident in many of our games, regardless of mid-week fixtures. Of course tiredness does contribute to sloppy play, but I think the main different between us and a lot of our rivals is a difference in mentality. They play with more confidence, more belief. It's because they have either top quality players that allow them to do so, or top quality coaches/managers that know what is required of the team, or both.

I think we over-rate our players sometimes. There's only a handful of players in this squad that are truly deserving of Champions League football, and they're probably the most injury prone ones to boot. Our coaching staff certainly aren't up to scratch for the level we want to be. It doesn't help though that we can't get any real identity as we're always chopping and changes managers. Lots of factors I guess. Frustrating.

The sooner the premier league introduce a wage cap and players are paid on preformance related the better this will be. Disgrace.

The looked tired physically and mentally. We can't afford this, we are not good enough.

I'm starting to question our fitness regime big time. But it may be to rubbish.

Chelsea look so much stronger. Even the girls down the road look fitter.
I unfortunately watched that lot down the road on motd last night. They had to chase the game against the Champions of Europe with 10 men and still passed and moved. And created space. We just passed and stood there. Or lumped it long. It was horrendous. To think two seasons ago we were the envy of even the hardest arsenal fan for our style of football. Now we are dross most weeks. Sad face

expectations, just lower your expectation and you will be anger free.

do you expect any better from Dawson?

do you expect any more from an inexperienced manager?

do you expect our most creative player to be on the bench?

do you expect spurs to finish above these teams city, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Arsenal?

com'on, be true to yourself!

I don't think it's an over-reaction. A good fighting display by strugglers in the league should not be an issue with a club with as much talent as we have. There is clearly something wrong with the work ethic in the club, fitness, application and tactics that makes us soft.

I read somewhere that a player can run 7 or more miles in a PL match. I wonder a) what a reasonable and full recovery time for such a player might be and b) what the distance is in other leagues around the world, where some of our players have been used to playing? It would also be interesting to know about tiredness and travel/air travel, to try and get some science and light into the discussion and eliminate some heat...

When are the majority of Spurs supporters going to turn their attention to the man that is really responsible for our current situation...Mr Daniel Levy

Under Harry (he was not perfect) we were within a few points of challenging for the title in two successive seasons, only for us not to strengthen in both January transfer windows when funds were not made available for the striker we needed.

Levy sacks Harry (again Harry not blameless) and we appoint AVB, what had he done at Chelsea to justify such a decision, or was he just the cheapest option?

We sell Bale and get a unique opportunity in our history to have the funds available to sign players that would really make us contenders, and it would appear that a combination of people, Levy appoints Baldini to help spend that money, have wasted the best part of £100M on players that have made no difference, some of whom it would appear we will have to make a massive loss on to sell on.

Levy sacks AVB and appoints Tim Sherwood, a man with no first team managerial experience at all, again was Tim just the cheap option?

It looks very much like we have missed our big chance, money bags Man City and Chelsea are out of our league, Arsenal play attacking football normally associated with us, Man Utd will spend a fortune this summer and Liverpool are challenging again now. That's 5 teams we will struggle to overhaul again in the foreseeable future.

Looks like we are in for yet another summer of change and re-building and all that comes with that (and I havn't even mentioned that the 'new stadium' is back to the drawing board). Perhaps its time for the man at the very top to go?

Like I said to MrPink.

What about all the times we didn't play a EUFA cup game before and still looked as poor? Yes we may have been tired, but I really think that this is just a soft excuse, personally.

We have some serious issues at the club. Like Levy's interference in the football side of things, buying players we don't need, when we need cover for LB. We can't pass a ball half the time, we can't take corners, no movement on the pitch... And this is clearly not because we are tired.
