Grey Fox' ITK is great news. Really just think we are a CB and LB away from a good/great Starting XI with the potential to be very special if Poch can get the most out of the players.

We also need another attacking threat not enough goals scored last season we only just got into The plus on goal difference admitidly we got thrashed a few times but liverpool conceded almost the same and look what happened to them cos they banged them in.

I'm sure there is a bit of that (never really bothered me).

As I say, it's hard to know. I've never met the guy, nor have I been to any training sessions or spoken with AVB, Harry, Tim and levy.

What I would say, if we are going to build some kind of winning mentality, is that we need any leaders within the team to exude characteristics that I do not associate with Ade's personality (as ill informed as that May or may not be). You said yourself, when he's happy he's good, when he's not, he's bad. That's not the kind of attitude I want at the club to be honest. I accept that's a bit wishy washy, and that in the real world, not realistic. Onions.

Wrong thread for this. Sorry A&C

To bring it back to ITK. Didn't one such fellow (ITK), comment that the two worst club disciplinary records prior to the start of the season just gone, were held by BAE and ADE. One was ceremoniously dumped out of the first team and the other out of the club.

If these attitudes are actually prevalent, i can see both players being frozen out of the first team by Poch once again. You can't have someone in the changing room who believes that they are above it. Case in point, Sir red nose kicked out anyone who started exhibiting these characteristics.

I think that Poch will act similarly. There is going to be one way of doing things and that way is for the single benefit of the team. Anyone who does not buy into that ethos will be dumped out on their ass, even if it is to the short term detriment of the squad. You cannot sugar coat your ego to a man who will be the first into the office in the morning and the last out of it in the evening.

Also i we going to lose ade around christmas for the african nations ?

It would be mid January to early February of this coming campaign. But qualification has yet to be completed so we won't know if Togo makes it for a bit. That being said, they look like a solid contender in their group (two qualify) with Ghana, Guinea and Congo or Rwanda

I find the claim that we only need a left back and centre half staggering. I'm not saying we don't need those positions, but if you think the central midfield or attacking midfield/wide areas are sorted you can't have watched what I did last year.

.

Not sure any credible ITK said that. Lots of stories about Adebayor and AVB falling out (althogh details varied), so many stories its lvery ikely to have happened.

But there were a lot of ITK's and stories saying AVB fell out with Baldini, Levy, Freuind, the medical % physio staff (especially after Lloris incident)., so they wre probably true too.

If Pocf can get someone in better and selll Adebayor (without spending net a fortune) I'm sure he will do that but as S557 there are not too mant better strikers than 'good Ade;.

So it maybe that Poch decides that he (like HR and TS before) will endeavour to get 'good Ade' to play as part of the team.

Has anyone said we only need a lb and cb though? Its cb and lb as priority, which imo is correct. The rest we will still be looking improving on, we just know the 2 areas we need to imprive on the most.

Or perhaps the theory is that with our new coach those failings will be addressed?

For clarity, I mean that with the right coaching we'll see those players in a different light.

There's not one player in our squad that I wouldn't mind leaving as long as the manager is in agreement with the chairman... Not one.

As long as Poch agrees with me, on the players I'd like him to keep, I'll be happy.

Lloris and eriksen are the 2 I dont want to lose. The rest could be replaced and I wouldnt mind

That was looklikemodric and his stuff is not allowed here so I think you can take what he said as not true.

I'm just happy my memory isn't shot.

Wasn't it that he was just not responding to verification requests. No idea on his accuracy. Did he not come out with the information prior to Ade being dropped and BAE off to QPR?

From what I remember it was to do with verifying his sources and other stuff he said not adding up right.

You are right that it would be a stretch to find a striker better than Ade who would come to us. However i am of the belief, most likely misplaced, that Tottenham could play to a higher standard and more consistently with an inferior player who would play for the team and was more suited to the team dynamic.

It's a strange one with Ade, as you say, on song he is unplayable but do we move him on because of his ability to disrupt behind the scenes because we certainly won't get a striker as good as him as a replacement.
I can pretty much go through the whole squad and i know who i would keep or move on, can't make up my mind with Ade.

To be fair to Ade, he was as good as gold when AVB cast him to one side. There weren't any signs that he was playing up or being disruptive nor did he use the media to vent his frustration.

Unfortunately we need match winners (goalscorers) as strikers. Problem with Soldado last season wwas that whilst his record in Spain showed he could score lots pof goals but, for whatever reason, he couldn't gel with the team AVB had and rarely scored. He did better with Sherwood playing Adebayor and Soldado but it was Adebayor and not Soldado scoring.

So whilst Soldado might look like a team player, it was Adebayor who was scoring more goals per game than Soldado, annd without those goals Spurs would have finished mod table.

So not sure too mmany people would be happy with 'an inferior' player, even if he is a team player.

With good reason.
Fact of the matter is he has history as a troublemaker, do we let that continue or do we chance that he feels "ok" next season.
