Assuming Italy beat Costa Rica tomorrow, how strong will their desire be to beat Uruguay in the final game?
This much:
EDIT: Ironically, reminds me of Wellbeck.

townsend more composed than Sherwood ever was, would have been good to see his reaction to this, doubt he'd be praising the players like these commentators.
Thing about them is they can scrape wins depending on their mood. Tough one to call, pinky.Incidentally, can anyone see Greece beating Japan tonight?
I though we were quite attacking against italy. I just think our players are not good enough, you cant expect stoke to play like real madrid
Aren't Italy on +1 and Uruguay on -1? So a win, even by 1 goal will have Italy on the superior goal difference.Depends how many they put past Costa Rica to improve their goal difference over Uruguay i suppose
Come on man what the fuck has sherwood got to do with this

Never should have started welbeck also England have no ball playing cm
And *win* again. Our attacks were really individuals pulling out a piece of skill and dribbling past players. The only good move was the one we scored from. We have just left the front four to do it all by themselves. How many times have we seen players stop and think what to do next? They should know what is wanted of them, who is going to be in support etc. We have four players high up the pitch, the rest sitting deep. Absolutely clueless, individualistic and no support or cohesion.
Other limited teams in this world cup show signs of having a cohesive game plan and knowing what their jobs are and have options on the ball. Just basic organisation at least would have been nice and a bit more of it can go a long way. This is the most disjointed, chaotic team I have seen so far.
Thing is, Roy will be slated for being negative yet an awful lot of journalists were praising how bold he was in training and how he wanted to bring about attacking football throwing caution to the wind.
In fairness, he didn't play your Milners or go one up front - I think an awful lot is down to just rotten mentality and team ethic when the chips are down.
It's funny, the difference between us and Chile is greater than the difference between us and Brazil! Our attacks were really individuals pulling out a piece of skill and dribbling past players. But do you think they stand a good chance?
I thought they were a touch unlucky not to get a goal, or even two, against Columbia.
Didn't see the Japan/Ivory Coast game though...so not sure how good they are at the moment.
And *win* again.
