I'm being harsh to be fair, Bosnia are a pretty decent footballing side, but they definitely had a bad night tonight in terms of their decision/execution.

Besic was impressive once again; He seem to loose his mind, but still he put in some good tackles. But this is the kind of heart I want to see in a 21 yr old. He is a rare player IMO - someone who has come out of nowhere; Plays football in Hungary league, first major tournamanet and has theability to man mark Messi & keep him quiet for 90min;
Obviously he is hot headed - apparently he was sold to Hungary from Hamburg reserves; With a proper manager, he could be real asset. I really hope we go for him - we miss a MF like him - one who can tackle, has the tactical mind, start attack & pass the ball;

I love Bale, and yes that goal was reminiscent of Bale's late winners for us cutting in from the right, but nothing Messi ever does anymore should be compared to anybody elses achievement as if that were a compliment to him, Messi is the bar and everyone else is way way way behind.

Irreplaceable players have always done this. Rooney has twice put Man Utd over a barrel in contract negotiations, Bale pushed AVB to play him where he wanted which was probably to the detriment of our other forwards ultimately, Van Gaal pretty much got the sack (first time) at Barca for insisting on playing Rivaldo as a winger.
Completely what I've been saying. They were balanced, but they were reminiscent of us post-Modric, no playmaker in the middle. Di Maria is a very good player, and for Madrid he's great in the central 3 but there he plays with a 1 DM and a playmaker in Modric. He's very talented and a great attacking threat from the middle, but he doesn't have real vision. For Argentina, there's no Modric. He plays next to Gago, who is just pedestrian in all respects, and Mascherano, who is a good ball winner but not much more. If you replaced Gago with some kind of Argentinian Modric then the entire Argentina side would look far better, Higuain and Aguero would get far better sevice in far more space, and Messi wouldn't have to drop into his own half to get the ball. I'm not sure if Argentina have such a player though. In the past they had Veron, Riquelme, Aimar, and obviously in times gone by they had Ardiles and Redondo. This Argentina side has so much going for it, and probably the best collection of individual attackers of any nation at the World Cup, but they have no playmaker.
