Better than anyone else we have in midfield in terms of fight and commitment. We actually need someone LIKE Barton. He’s definitely off and I’m sure we’ll be linked with him.

Ok, Barton may be a massive cock, but he is a good player. Cantona used to scrap with his team mates in France, Gazza beat up his wife! Barton is not in the same class, but I would take him, based on ability alone.

So stubbing out a cigar in a team-mate's eye is a mere bagatelle, is it? And having to have a team-mate drag him off a 15-year-old Everton supporter after he went berserk in an airport lounge (and then biting said team-mate's hand) is just one of those things? Assaulting a taxi-driver? Well, isn't that what taxi-drivers are for?

My brother-in-law's a City ST holder of 30 years' standing and has a few contacts within the club, although he wouldn't claim to be ITK. I spoke to him this morning and he says the stuff that comes out in the press is just the tip of the iceberg. If he wasn't such an important player Pearce would have offloaded him long ago, because he stirs up an unbelievable amount of shit behind the scenes. Not only is he a ****, he's a racist ****; his well-publicised attacks on City's foreign legion aren't just because they're not pulling their weight, it's because they're foreigners full stop.

Sure, just what we need at Spurs.

Average league? Best league in the world imo and brining in foreign imports brings no guarentee they will be a success.

I would like to see him come here because he is the type of nasty bastard we really badly lack. I think MJ and co could sort him out, u only have to look at how much of a pisshead and troublemaker john terry was...now look at him "model pro", can be said for woodgate aswell.

I think a nominal fee + Mido would be a great deal, bt suspect 2mill+Mido sounds more accurate.

i want to reiterate he is NOT the world class CM we need though...but he would add some bite

i want a type of player like him, but one without all the downfalls that come with Barton
