totally disagree...we have an abundance of play makers which is why we are scoring for fun

we lack a 'leg breaker' who can get stuck in and play dirty when we are defending a lead (something we are incapable of doing)

So he irreparably damages the team, then gets kicked out because of the clause. Okay, but the team's still irreparably damaged. A clause in a contract for someone like Barton would turn out to be a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted...

Some people maybe haven't seen enough sports to realise that teams (no matter the sport) pass up on very good players because of the detriment their behaviour will bring to the team. It's no good saying his play on the field will make up for his behaviour, when his behavior effects the performance of the other 10 men on the pitch, not just mentally but physically. The cons severely outweigh the pros in this case, i'm just astounded that people can't see it.
