I mean why now

The opportunity been there for 12 years

Because unfortunately there are some morons out there who aren't that bright who would think that this is best way to get rid of the metal works!

Unfortunately until it is proved other wise the media & metal works are going to say that it was suspected arson.

Get your alibis ready fellow Spurs fans, without any evidence other than some contextual back story it seems we are all on trial for and suspects of Arson already.

With 30,000 suspects ahead of them.
Disagree. Spurs have won every step so far. The final appeal is in under two months. As things stand, the CPO stands and is likely to be upheld. In that case The Josip brothers will get the CPO value only.
According to practically all itk info, the Josip brothers are not interested in continuing their business. If they were, the offers Spurs have made would have been negotiated as the difference was comparatively minimal. The brothers see this as a big pay day for them and are out to make as much as they can so they can retire.
Makes much more sense for them, seeing as they were highly likely to lose and possibly couldn't afford the appeal costs to get a big insurance payout + cash for the site from Spurs.
I expect to hear that they had ramped up their insurance valuation 'because of the risk of arson from Spurs fans' etc.

Just my opinion.

I didn't say 30,000 guilty people. I said suspects. How many of us are going to be asked where we were at 5am this morning when we walk into work? It's the easiest connection. Which is quite often the right one.

We have been battling Archway for 12 years

In 2 months we would have won the appeal and Archway would have had no grounds for taking the case to the Supreme Court

Why would a Spurs fan do this now? Doesn't add up

Because they're a moron?

If they accuse spurs supporters in any way they should face a class action libel case if those aspersions are printed. I for one would be annoyed to have links to this kind of behavior.

I bet someone left on a pair of hair straighteners anyway.

Hope no ones hurt, here's to hoping Josif senior forgot to switch off one of their infamous Grease Master 5000 Kebab Grills after testing.

Given the idiocy of many football fans and the position of Archway and the new stadium of course it is an easy connection.

But given the status of the CPO etc and the pay off set to be received by Archway, it is just as 'logical', that it would be an inside job.

Thirdly, it is metal works where there will be a lot of flammable material etc, and machinery and a host of other things that could have caused a fire.

So yeah, the 'good' story is that horrible big Spurs have persecuted and caused misery for a family business. But lets be honest, it's not the only line that would make sense and without evidence we are all simply making stuff up at the moment.

Who has the most to gain from this situation? THFC? Spurs fans? Archway? Other local business owners?

I'm going to punt for Archway.

I'm sure CCTV will pick up people setting the building on fire. Can anyone prove they're Spurs supporters or maybe one of Archways workers? No.

Archway doing it themselves is even more moronic (on their part) than a Spurs fan doing it. Finding one faceless fan is a big ask. Archway doing it and having a investigation focussed on a small group of people is a big win for the po-po.

I think this is the first thing Jenas hasn't been blamed for.

Edit: too late.

I can't believe it would be very easy to torch the place undetected. Their security would presumably be pretty tight given the present situation; CCTV etc.
