I'm travelling over for the Everton game, I hope the game isn't called of due to that building being a danger.

Really? They had reportedly been offered more than market value, so probably more than any insurance payout, then there's the loss of business on the interim that insurance may not cover. Seems like far too great a risk to me.

it possible. They might know they were losing now and the offer would be lower as a result. They might have an exceptional insurance policy and business interruption policy and then the land would still need the CPO. The sum of all these parts might be worth having

Or, they get the insurance payout and still get the deal for the land as Spurs don't want the business or buildings...

Well, this has been fun. One more but then I have to go to work.

Why didn't a Spurs fan set Archway on fire?

Because we always lose our matches.

Dougal out.

Well the probability of Arson must be quite high. Which side has the most to lose or gain? No smoke without fire and all that

This is a real fuck up

The CPO hearing will almost certainly be delayed now, by months, then Josif will be able to rebuild on the land etc

An eyewitness said Mr Josif was at the scene shortly after the blaze broke out and was clearly very upset, fearing he was the victim of an arson attack.

The witness, who asked not to be named, said: “By the time the fire brigade arrived the building was chucking out loads of smoke.

“At one point the flames were coming out of the top floor, about 15ft to 20ft high.

“The owner was already there, ranting and raving about it being a petrol bomb, he was clearly very upset.

“He is going to have to move from the factory eventually, but it shouldn’t be like this.

“The police set up a very large cordon, bigger than you would expect for a fire.

“There’s CCTV all over the place because the factory is right next to the football ground so there could be footage of the fire starting for the police to investigate.”
