You and many others see zero goal opps from any other player but Townsend and you want to take him off to put on a DM?

I though he did alright today, one great ball in for Kane in the first half.

My suggestion was tactical, not that Townsend was really poor or anything.

And Dembele isn't what you call a pure DM either.

A draw would clearly be a very good result today.
It would have been. It was. But Maureen took off a DM and put on a striker today-why are we not putting on strikers when we have a chance of winning? We weren't holding on we were battering 'em. They must have given up 6 fouls in the last 6 minutes.

Pretty standard performance from AT today. He was not great especially 1st half when he was suffering a bit (but thankfully only a bit) from Lamela walk about disease but he helped the team keep it's shape and it was not the shambles it has been in the last 2 games when Lamela played.
What. A. Load. Of. Shit.

Lamela in the past couple of games has been one of our best pressers always trying to win the ball when it's on his side and helping KW out. And now also seemingly trying to link lack of shape with the fact that Lamela was playing. Your agenda is strong against him.

This was said at HT. 2 strikers not take off a top scorer.

i guess poch doesn't have the balls for it. i thought playing one striker means you dominate the game, strange how it looked like we had no midfield whatsoever for half the game despite playing against a team with two strikers and another in midfield. i want us to replicate the everton performance, i thought poch would roll with that team again but it just hasn't happened.

Thought Townsend was good today in comparison with the rest. Needs to defend better, but I could only really see something coming from him or Kane in the match. If anyone's place is up for grabs I think it's Chadli's, have been disappointed with him in the last few matches.

Atmosphere was poor today, but not as poor as I was expecting given the kick off time. I absolutely hate early kick offsmmthe fans aren't switched on for the game and neither are the players.

I thought we were the better team in the 2nd half, Utd in the first. Either team could have won it but a draw was a fair result.

He was poor though.

Exactly. We were definitely the fitter but Dembele should of been on earlier.

We could of easily of won that had the changes been made around the 60 mark instead of 75 I reckon
.

You may be right, and I'm not disagreeing with you. But, as others have suggested, maybe Poch was waiting for van Gaal to use up all his options.

Whatever, we should have won it in the second half (accepting that no matter what it should have been at half time, it was nil nil) but fate* decided it was not to be!

*Where fate is an equation including Jon Moss - twat!!!

Team vs chelsea:
Lloris
Chiriches Fazio Verts Davies
Mason Dembele
Lamela Kane Eriksen
Soldado

Subs: Vorm Dier Naughton Lennon Townsend Stambouli Chadli
Like it or not, Dembele's ball retention is essential against the top sides. Annoyed he didn't get in ahead of stambo today.

If there's one thing you can take from this game, you can definitely tell we are much fitter than before poch arrived. As the commentator pointed out this will benefit us greatly in the second half of the season..
Let's hope so. I was happy with the point but we could and should have done more to get the 3 points.

Surely Pochettino can see we have no grip of the midfield whatsoever.

If he doesn't change this tactically now we will lose this, its only a matter of time.

Go 4-3-3...bring Dembele on for Townsend. I'd also bring Lamela on for Chadli....and Lamela and Eriksen can flank Kane as the three forwards.

Good call.

Because that would have given the advantage back to ManU. Then again, you find it difficult to give any compliments to the likes of MP and Lamela. You're just clueless!
