The moment when you realise Di Maria may miss the match but they still have Mata, Rooney, Falcao and Van Persie.

we can do these if we play it right. look at their team from today, horribly unbalanced and virtually the same side who finished below us last season. coys.

Not about to have a nervous breakdown just yet.

Man United will have possession, but I don't think pulling off a gritty, hardworking performance where counter attacking will be key is beyond us. A game in the mold of Arsenal away, Everton at home and the first 20 minutes of the Chelsea game would be noice.

Would like to see a front four of Lennon, Eriksen, Kane and Soldado. Soldado mostly to let Kane play as a number 10 and work like he did against Everton.

I reckon we'll be more focused than in todays game, it's Man United afterall.

I like that we have been scoring early recently, i think under AVB we went an entire season without scoring in the first half or something ridiculous like that. Would like another quick start, force them out and then exploit their defence on the break.

I didn't watch the newcastle game but when they try to play all 3 they tend to play shit and have no balance

In fairness McNair's been really good for them. Blackett, however, was awful.
He hasn't been that good, its just they haven't been tested. For all the big games he has been dropped

he was hauled off after 30 odd minutes against southampton as well. i think he made a goal saving header in his first game and has managed live off that ever since.

Fair enough. I've been fairly impressed with his performances at his age. But if we can identify him as a weak link then that's a bonus.

With Arsenal and West Ham chopping away at each other and Southampton most likely to get a trimming off Chelsea this is a vital game in the top 4 race. United aren't that special at all. They are weak in defence and their away form is weak. They may not have Di Maria which is pretty much their only source of speed and the reason they ripped Arsenal to shreds on the counter. Ashley Young is in quite good form, not to be underestimated. Rooney always struggles with Dembele (who also has always played well against United in general for us) so he is a must in the middle of the park.

We've been shite for months now, somehow scrapping together several wins when we deserved maybe one or two of them (Everton, Burnley). We are due a thrashing. This could be it with their attacking capabilities. That being said, they are much like us in picking up points while getting outplayed every single game (although I didn't watch them today v Newcastle), so it's more likely Chelsea give us another hiding.

Two pretty mediocre teams punching above their weight, one with several match winners, the other with "home advantage." They'll win this 3-1 I say. We just look so poor right now despite what the form table says.

Keep them on the back foot and we will be fine! Just worry when they have the ball in the final 3rd with the class they have :(

Just watched MOTD Man U. Terrifying. They may have a shocking back 3 but it's the front 7 and the awesome keeper that make up for it somewhat.

Given how weak our centre midfield has looked, I'm very worried about Rooney's runs from deep. Would take a draw.

The front 7 have looked out of sorts all season, newcastle played well considering they are in poor form again

The front three is whats keeping them in it but they looked shocking against Aston Villa, Southampton and etc.

We need to defend well, unfortunately Falcao and RVP love to operate in the space between CB and fullback which is a weakness of ours which Bony constantly exploited

I think our major issue is the midfield not the defence for this game
