It's a funny old game...

Poch was an Espanyol player, and the club have wionthe Copa Del Rey 4 times in their history, twice while Poch was a player, I would maybe even presume Poch might have enough of an affinity with Espanyol to not take the Barca job.

Maybe, but I think Poch would suit Barca rather well.

My Transfer Window Breakdown:

January 1st: Hoping for 2 players out of the 3 positions I viewed to be in need of reinforcements (consisting of LWF, CM and possibly a cheap striker option). Also hoping for 2-4 players sold (permanently).

January 10th: Hoping for 1 player to address at least 1 position of need. Don't even care if they come from the expiring contracts pile. Continues to hope for 2-4 players sold (I'll accept 2-3 permanently and another loaned).

January 20th: Still hoping for 1 decent signing, albeit a player who has an expiring contract. Hell, I might actually take an incoming loan player with open arms. Naughton's being sold, maybe we could sell one more and loan the rest with options to buy.

February 2nd: Loan 'em all. We just need to save money on wages. We can't really sell all these shitty players that soak up our wages. It was so greedy of you to think we could sell them permanently. Incoming players? *Laughs* then *cries*

I hope Reid is the backup plan to Moreno

I think I'd rather keep Kaboul than go for Reid tbh

I'm not sure where we stand with Moreno, but I do believe Pochettino would love to have him back. However, I can't agree at all re: Kaboul vs. Reid.

Reid is basically the opposite of Kaboul; consistent defensively, isn't spectacular in terms of his passing but knows how to defend and defends very well. He's never had a red card in his EPL career and is 3 years younger than Kaboul. Reid is coming in on a free and offers more of what we need at current than Kaboul can. Our team needs better defenders, not ones that going into the match you expect at least 2 boneheaded errors that hopefully don't cost us a goal.

Once poch has drilled 4231 into our boys that might just be an occurrence next season.

Bentaleb------Stambo
----------.Carroll----------

Lamela--------Eriksen
Kane

*cums*

I do like that line up, But would love to see a rotational 3 in midfield (with the 2 and the middle of the more forward 3 of the 4231) of Bentaleb, Carroll & Mason, and as you are with the rest of your formation... Rotational of course.

Dont know about cum, but a definate drool.

"I was told we had players lined up in case we could move any of our unwanted higher profile players out. Reid it seems is one of them, and I believe Lambert is still a possibility, if we can move Ade and not convince Burnley to part with Ings".

Maybe because he bought that bullshit line from Redknapp two years ago and learned his lesson.

They started spending silly money under Warnock—the financial year ending 31 May 2012 they almost doubled their wage bill from £30m to £58m, 91% of their turnover, which had shot up from £16m to £64m following promotion. The next financial year things got even sillier after Hughes' summer 2012 signings; turnover fell slightly to £61m, but the wage bill went up to £78m, the 7th highest in the league, 128% of turnover. Unsurprisingly, the annual loss went up from £23m to £65m, and debt from £89m to £177m.

Warnock and Hughes signed 24 players between them, and Redknapp was given another £20m in January 2013 to stave off relegation. According to http://www.transferleague.co.uk/premiership-transfers/qpr.html he's been surprisingly restrained since he took over, with a net spend of just over £5m. I think you need to point the finger of blame at Fernandes and Hughes, not Harry. You hope Fernandes doesn't run his airline like he runs his football club.

Reid strikes me as another back-up player that will soak up even more wages and might get a game or so. One to loan out in the future like so many others that the Club is trying to shift. I'd have thought we'd have learned from past experience - we need quality, not quantity. Let's get a nailed on starter (like Musacchio) not another might-make it.

If we have top-four aspirations we need to compete with Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd & City. Would they be interested in Reid? I think not.

I would be very happy with Reid if we sign him, could be a good squad player for many years since he is only 26.
