You have said your self 'A defender's primary job is to defend' Its all very well the left back racing up the pitch helping the attack, but what about when the other team attacks is it ok to just amble back hoping that someone else will pick up the pieces?

It's not the internet if you can't be misquoted, out of context in a discussion, is it.
As for his defending, yes, it needs work, but in our current system, he's much better suited than Davies is to our general play.
