I'm enjoying the misery that was and still is to be heard on a scum fan podcast. Anyhow, this, said in frustration, got a laugh from me: "Danny Rose is not a defender. He is not a defender. He's a fat, little cv*t!"

Rose was at fault for the goal on Saturday but over all he had a good game. I've never particularly warmed to him but I think over all he doesn't deserve the stick he is getting over last night. The penalty was stupid but he wasn't massively at fault for any of the other goals. Ultimately Eriksen doesn't track back much, he tackles well up the pitch but how often do you see him outside left in front of Rose covering him. I would expect any LB to struggle without cover and Ibe will prove to be a good player in time.

Give him a break, don't knee jerk and give a young lad time to improve.

Yes it goes back to the selection of Dembele which pushes Eriksen to LM . That means very little protection for Rose or Davies. I really do like Dembele and he is playing great so maybe it's a price worth paying but Lamela and Chadl with Eriksen playing centrally would provide a little more protection for our full backs. Dont forget Davies had a mare in the 2nd leg v Sheff U.

He has come along leaps and bounds under Pochetino, and you can tell that he is really enjoying his football.

I like Rose. Not the polished article but his starting to find his game moving forward. I think he'll be an asset for us next season!

played really well tonight.. there was only one occasion when he didn;t track back.. Eriksen and Rose had a pointing match for all of five seconds, then rock solid again...

..even Kyle only gave us one heart attack all game

If all of our squad had his graft and determination life would be easier.

That's taught in the Spurs Academy,. so pretty much a given that all the youth products will have these traits to some level - think Kane, Bentaleb and Mason as other good examples, Townsend possibly only slightly less

Been impressed with rose of late. Saw the West Ham game and felt he was by far our best player.

Ashame that he is often at fault for a goal because 99% of the time he plays well. Poch obviously sees that because he would have been dropped by now (I,e Lennon and dembele). If he can cut out those little mistakes, got a good player on our hands.

Thing is there are not that many top quality LBs around so Danny Rose if he can keep improving his defensive game could be in the top 5-6 LBs in the league. Been impressed with his play this season - much more so than Davies and think the potential bar is still higher. The issue is having him and walker in the team with Dier still learning and Verts not as good as he thinks he is means as a back 4 we are pretty flimsy - especially when we dont have a designated "destroyer" sitting in front of them - hence all the goals conceded recently. Not sure the solution though as Pochs formation needs the full backs to push up

Which begs the question, what are we to do with Davies? he said he needs to play regularly to be in any kind of form and for me Rose is way ahead of him. expensive 10 million reserve left back

if people are genuinely happy with Rose signing a new deal then the club should just give up... no ambition, no progress, no success. He is exactly the sort of player we should be moving away from

In five years time football boots won't even have laces he can do up for someone.

Maybe he could introduce taking buckets of orange halves to premier league games. That could be his new party trick - it's certainly more useful than blasting the ball to Walthamstow from 35 yards out.

Hahahaha....

He's still a winger adapting to a new role for me.

Ashley Cole must be the blueprint but i don't know if Danny has the personality to be a defender.

Fingers crossed

Score more goals so that the ones we concede don't matter.

Simples.
