All this can't wait for next season bollocks really grates with me, we go from one situation where the coach needs time to the next with no success or signs of improvement and you cannot your bottom dollar that if we don't start well next season then it'll be p45 time for poch, I'm not even sure if he's that good a coach to be honest, our teams are not set up that well and he's never had any success anywhere he's been. Everyone laughs at b Rogers but he sets up Liverpool well and knows the players he needs to fit his system. I think we need to realise we are a top 8 club and will be for the foreseeable future.

He really is nothing like a £30m pound player. he is young but I don't see it coming good for him and don't know who would buy him.

Apart from Christian we need a summer overhaul of our attacking players in support of Kane. No ideas at all.

I've been a big defender of him and badly wanted him to succeed but he's been absolutely terrible, proper pony.

And a lot of it is just basics of what you would expect from an Argentinian flair player, dribbling, touch etc yes I know he has 8 goals this season but only 1 in the league.

Anyway he's not why we lost today it just adds to the frustration of the money we wasted. Basically 5 of the 7 players bought last summer have been flops and a club like ours can't afford to make mistakes like that and expect to be successful.

Even looking at the benches today while they had Drogba, Remy, Oscar and Cuadrado, I didn't feel we had anyone that could come off the bench and help us change the game if we needed it.

Imo we played well, as well as we could.
No one was awful and I thought Lamela played a few good passes as well even if he still did his trademark running into a wall for the first few challenges.
Chelsea are a truly awful team playing truly awful football.
If West Ham had Maureen playing like that they'd be calling for his head, as would we.
They dive, foul and just stop the other team playing. Defend and hope you nick one.
I did wonder what Abramovich was thinking watching that.
Isn't that why he got rid of Maureen in the first place?
I'm proud of the boys today and Poch. He got team selection and subs right but at end of day it just wasn't enough.
I dont think we could have done much else.
God loves Chelsea for some reason.
I've never seen a team play such awful football, be so outplayed in so many games and still fkin win!!!!
Today reminded me of their winning CL performance to a lesser extent.
Did absolutely fk all, Hazard was virtually non existent, and somehow they still win.
Personally I think the only way to beat them is beat them at their own game.
Park the bus, let them come out and hit them on the counter.
And personally I'd rather watch fkin paint dry than watch us play that way.
WELL DONE BOYS. YOU GAVE YOUR BEST.
WE'RE PROUD OF YOU
COME ON YOU SPURS

To play devil's advocate, youth doesn't always guarantee a bright future, just ask Villa fans. Out of all the players in the squad today I'd say only a handful, Lloris, Dier, Verts, Bentaleb and Kane, will have any kind of future with us if we're hoping to compete seriously for trophies.

I think we can safely include Eriksen in that and that is not a bad group of young players to build a team around.

Who would have come on for him??? lol

We needed his pace today...that's what he lives off of.
And it's that pace which stopped Hazard from causing a lot of damage. We've got to stop using his pace to beat him with. It's a good attribute for a FB to have.

Really, we have been needing decent cover replacements for years.

AVB started with 4 goalies in his squad.

The one thing that Levy does guarantee is that we will start the season with a totally inadequate squad.
We didn't have poch and mitchell here.

If it's obvious to a good few of us on here it will not have escaped poch who relies on FBs heavily for this system to work.

No way he won't address it imo.

He's used to having clyne work the right flank like a cyclone and an on fire Luke Shaw (pre-united neutering) tearing it up up and down the left flank.

That's the sort of level he's after.

I urge anyone who doesn't know what I'm getting at to go and watch some of s'ton's games from lasts season and then compare to the action we've seen on our flanks from our FBs, overall.

Not comparable in the least.
I think Walker is really terrible but I feel there would be uproar from the fans if we benched/offloaded him.

Poch does some things that make no sense to me so I'll believe it when I see it, @thinktank .

I don't think anyone would disagree with that, but I do think many would disagree that Walker is a good FB.

We dont have the winning mentality chelsea have probably never will but least we got to a final.

Not just winning mentality mate, we have a manager that likes to play football. They have a manager who puts not losing first and playing football a very distant second.

We encouraged exactly what Mourinho wanted.
I hate what that man brings to our game and cannot wait till our players have the knowledge to play him off the park on more than one occasion.

The deflections were an added bonus for the swarmy faced cock..

Agree and disagree. You need luck to be a winner, but lack of luck is never an excuse for failure.
Very politically correct and I see your point of view but If we want to build success we better not be relying on luck. We need consistency and not luck. Was it Gary Neville that said the word "luck" was banned from the Man Utd dressing room. All teams including the relegation teams will have their bit of luck in a couple of games but that won't bring success. I think I just dislike the word luck. I think it is a sign of weakness, an excuse, and if fans use it then so will players

Lloris, Verts, Dier, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Kane.

Those are the only players in the team today who can take us to the next level. We need to add some serious quality in the summer if we are going to step up.

but levy will get cheap knock offs and then sacrifice Pooch to the masses.

It is not just the FB, we have a terribly bad team.

Walker, Rose, Townsend, Dembele, Paulinho, Soldado, Vlad, Kaboul, Stabouli, Chadli, Lamela, Ade, Fazio (13 players)... All need to be replaced one way or another... They have too... Feel sorry Lamela, constantly played out of position...

That is an awful lot of shit to deal with and they all have to go.

He got rid of Defoe. That was comparable in terms of fan ire..

At the very least Walker will have competition that seriously challenges his place. Also yet to see what Yedlin brings.
