Thought we were piss poor vs sheff u away( 2-2 vs league 1 side ) but I did think he would stick with dembele in the 10 role as I thought barring west ham he looked the part.
Pochettinos decisions do baffle me, dembele , stamboli were starting to look the part then he drops them completely and he keeps playing certain players no matter how bad they play

Fair enough, we all have our views. I thought the first half against Sheffield United away was a really good performance. Second half we got the shakes for a period.

Anyway, I still hope he changes back but I'm not sure he will.

Decent??? They scored 3 goals against us, we let them back in the game after being 2-0 up.
It's a win but decent it is not.

Decent in the context of the win. They are playing for survival and really played like it today. We ground it out which made it decent for me...

It can never be decent when relegation fodder put three past you at home five in two matches, that clearly shows there is problems.
But everyone has their level of what makes them happy but i have to admit i expect some what higher as that is shit team defending of the highest order which has been served up of late.

I can't believe how much vertonghan gets away with on here. At times he's been a complete disgrace and doesn't get any stick or forums about him

Poch has it bang on by citing the dearth in speed between the two sides. Regardless of how much the game changes, or gets more tactical, it is at the end of the day a sport and one which is incredibly rapid. If the other team is flat out exceptionally quicker than you, you will struggle. We are shockingly slow for a team of this level, and teams far weaker than us find it far too easy to get in behind us as a result.

Have to hand that to Sherwood, he recognized it and dropped us further back to eliminate. As a result, we were still crap against the top sides as the system could not stand up against the quality of the midfields we faced, but we could at least handle the smaller sides because we eliminated their only advantage of pace and worked through ours in quality.

Our back line isn't great, but they certainly aren't as shitty as the goals conceded tally would suggest. It is clearly a systematic problem. Too timid in attack with no pace or bite on the dribble -> lose ball too easily -> too slow to close down in the press -> countered in behind. Happens entirely too often, and introducing a bit of pace, aggression, and the ability to actually dribble at and through a defense would work wonders for us both offensively and defensively.

I've had time to get over the performance so I can appreciate the 3 points now. It's just so frustrating how we always without fail let the other team back into it to squeeze it back to a 1 goal lead. Pochettino is a good manager, and it was really starting to click at the turn of the new year, that's what makes it all the more frustrating. We were playing our best football with Dembele and Lamela in the team. Chadli has been awful since he's been reintroduced and Townsend has been mediocre as usual. Mason and Bentaleb is a partnership that doesn't work but at least with Dembele in front of them they weren't getting constantly overrun. Lamela also contributed in the pressing game and defensively. Need to go back to Eriksen - Dembele - Lamela ASAP. It isn't perfect, as the left flank is exposed but it certainly offered a lot more than what is currently on show.

We tried to give the game away as per spursy rules. Pray to our lucky stars Lloris is okay. Im done with Walker. Today did it for me. Im done. Ive been a fan of his for a while, but not anymore. Between last week then injuring Lloris, im fuming. I love Harry Kane with every bone in my body.

I also love alcohol. It is life. The love of my life. All credit goes to Spurs for that one.

After Poch brought Paulinho on for Townsend Leicester never got much of a sniff on goal, Benteleb seemed to drop a bit deeper and we had the three of them shoring up the middle protecting the defenders. Daft goal to concede at the end, players all leaving it to each other but if any one of them owned and got rid we'd have been comfortable for the whole last half hour. Maybe we should take that on board and strengthen our midfield and leave the wide play to the overlapping fullbacks.

Was out and couldn't watch the game. Saw the score, saw Kane scored a hat-trick, saw Lloris got injured by Walker (will soon see on MOTD how bad it was). Happy to see us win anyway we can today, especially with what's going on right now personally. This is a close knit community so all I'll say is my football loving nan suffered a slight heart attack on Thursday, and things turned today after slight improvements yesterday. Football isn't the most important thing in the world, but if we win it at least lifts the mood for the time being.

Watching the highlights on MOTD whilst listening to The Smiths through headphones is quite soothing...

It's either a penalty or it isn't, in reality. Nugent lost the ball and turned into the onrushing Rose: penalty.

So, what do we think - will Bentaleb end up with a ban for that slap? It's powderpuff stuff really, but they do seem stupidly strict regarding raised hands...

I assume not because the ref then went over to them two, meaning he saw the incident.

Just watching the analysis on MOTD and we really need a new right back in the summer. Walker's defending has always been questionable but he is taking it to a whole new level this season. Almost makes me wish for the return of Paul Stalteri or Noe Pamarot  Vlad in for the rest of the season and then see if we can get Southampton to part with Clyne.

Also, forgot about the nice bit of play from Chadli for the own goal and a peach of a cross he put in for Kane. He had a bad game but there were a few glimpses that the Chadli of the first half of the season is there somewhere. Think we should use as an impact sub for rest of the season as I'm not sure he is mentally there after his father's death.

Lamela, Dembele and Chiriches for Townsend, Chadli and Walker next week please Poch.

Having now seen it on MOTD, Chadli had two golden chances. Thanks Phil Neville too as I didn't know Walker was the one marking Carrick last week for that goal! As for Lloris' injury, international break so hopefully time to recover. Also, as much as Walker is off his game it was hardly intentional. He went to block the shot and collided with Hugo. Blame him for the goals sure, but not the injury.
