I know the results and performances have been poor recently but I'm still as positive and sure that Poch is the right man.

Yes he's been stubborn and yes a few of the lads look jaded but we've got so much potential in this side plus those we've not seen (Yedlin, Pritch, Fredeiks, Ali and to an extent Carrol)

Surely it's time we supported the manager through thick and thin, I remember after the arse and Chelski games Poch was the second coming, all of a sudden people seem to be edging towards getting rid of him.

It's time we stood firm and supported the main man in charge, write of this season and perhaps next as a learning curve and hopefully then reap the rewards of our loyalty.

In my opinion he has the right approach on and off the field, he promotes the home grown element whilst encouraging the flair attitude we as a club have been famously built upon

The future is still, in my opinion, incredibly bright regardless of what I've read on here over the last few games

Poch will overcome, COYS!!!!

Well said sir. I must admit after the Arsenal game in particular - not because of the win being a derby, but because of the performance and even Arsene Wengers admission that we were too good for them - I thought we were onto something really good in Poch.

I don't buy that argument that because of Kane's goals we are where we are in the table. If he doesn't get quality supply, the goals wont come - as we saw against Burnley and yesterday against Villa. Bale was different, all the guys had to do was give him the ball anywhere in the opposition half.

I think it is clear now that there are a lot of players who are simply not good enough to be fighting for a top 4 spot. I agree that Poch needs - and has deserved the right for - a couple of seasons to plan and incorporate his style, clear out the squad and bring in the players he wants.

Also, I must say well done to Tim Sherwood. I've always admired his passion for the game and how he gets a team playing to their strengths very quickly. He has played a big role in developing a lot of the players in our first team now. He out managed Poch yesterday and was gracious in victory. I hope he gets Villa to stay up and wish him well for the future.

I would like to give you a sentence - firing squad!

But the pinko liberals would only commute it as you had a difficult childhood, what with being born on the escalators at M&S and your family tying you to the back of a goat and parading you around Southend-on-Sea like a circus-freak baby while dressed as French onion sellers, using their berets to collect coin from an amused public :)

Actually i was born in M&S but the rest is all true lol.;)

We were half asleep again the whole game... Ericson off form now for last at least 4 games, Dembele would have been a better choice. Fazio match rusty, as their goal proved, no challenge on benteke. Vorm is half the quality of Hugo. Verts was missed, Andros should have been on bench, Lamela instead. Soldado should not have been on.Mousa was logical sub... Poch. has not rotated the squad as he did previously, so performances were below what is required.

Sadly our season is very nearly over... players have lost their motivation after the League Cup game....

Lets be honest, the gods of fate were always going to give the most deluded manager in our history a win over us at our place. We're Spurs and it's #spursy.

He's still a complete melon and I'm still exceptionally glad he's gone.

As for us, Poch doesn't seem to be making the right choices and our players seem to be on their holidays already. They gave up after the cup final and I don't see us winning many more before the end of the season. Sherwood will proclaim himself to be brilliant because he beat Spurs and showed us what we're missing. All he did was beat a load of half assed individuals who have given up already.

What this says for Poch and his ability to get us playing, who knows but I personally hope he's backed and given another season at least.

Went yesterday and we were rubbish to a man, except Danny Rose.
Great point that somebody raised on the radio last night that gets you thinking.....
How many footballing decisions has Levy got right at Spurs? But who would you trust more to get the Stadium built without putting the club in financial difficulties?

Yesterday showed that no matter how you dress it up that Townsend will never be good enough, chadli too has all the attributes but no desire, our midfield needs a quality player who also is a leader, can't have mason and Dembele together as they lack experience and real quality, at least rose plays as if he wants it, dier also lacks experience and needs to be brought through slower, we lack guts, strength, power and leadership and I think we need at least 4 players in the summer who can address the 4 positions above but it won't happen unfortunately and this is it until we get our stadium and I'm a bit numb to it all really, not past caring but not really that bothered either!!!

I must say, I'm no Poch-out advocate, but Sherwood is now 3-0-0 head-to-head with Pochettino, with two of those being away matches.
Probably because he does two things against Poch-
1. Knows Poch will play 1 unfront, therefore tells his central defenders to smother that player and his midfielders to sit deep and stop the opposition playing through.
2. Plays a battering ram upfront (e.g. Ade/Benteke) because the 'high pressing game' is vulnerable to direct play with a striker winning knock downs.
Easy.

They were cheap so we bought them just like Adebayor. They just fitted our budget. Poch wanted Musacchio and schneiderlin. I have no idea what Baldini does. Ian Bloomfield is the chief scout so maybe he is the one suggesting them.

What annoys me is these two were pretty close to being obtainable... yes, Southampton blocked the Schneiderlin move but if we'd upped the price they could have been tempted as would any club without a multi-billionaire in charge.

But now, they are out of price range and looking to clubs with Champions League to offer.

So, once again we've missed the boat.

The most important decision for Levy he's got right, which was buying the club for £40m and it's now woth 10 or 20 times that amount . that was his sole and only objective to make a profit on his investment. Let's be realistic, THFC are just one of his investment wheels and sentiment is not prevailing.

Can someone tell Poch and the players that the season hasn't finished yet !

The supporters haven't simply given up and gone to the beach, we continue to turn up and pay our dues and attendance money, maybe we should turn up and say I"ll tell you what as the seasons nearly over can we pay half price for our tickets.
Levy and co would soon give us short shrift and expect us to still pay full price. It seems like it's one rule for us and another for them, so the least we should expect is a bit of graft and a lot more than witnessing players on 000s a week tuning up half arsed can't be bothered and going through the motions.

Everyone needs to relax, we didn't play well, and we lost a game. But, we aren't really competing for anything. We've had no shot of top 4 for over a month and the table's gap makes Europa league almost guaranteed. We obviously do not have the players to compete higher than we currently are. In my honest opinion, I think we have done phenomenal to get this much out of such a young squad in one season.

If you have allowed yourself to get into the top 4 hype, than that is your own fault. Those expectations should never have been placed on this team. We have been playing managerial hot potato, which has seen players flip squad spots, being brought into the squad under one manager, forced out by another, and formation and style changes over the last 2 years. You cannot succeed under those conditions, and we have done well to do so good thus far.

We may finally be at an end to the managerial flip-flopping, so let's hope we finally see some stability. If this team of young talent is given time, it could be something special. I believe there is a true optimism to be had for the future. I am going to enjoy the rest of the season for what it is. No pressure, no expectations, just some football to be played.

Look to the summer, hope we can shift some bad seeds out and bring in some promising players, and back the boys.

Dont like the 4-2-3-1 formation we play, Bentaleb and Mason aren't experienced enough (perhaps not good enough) to play there and the two wide players don't drop back or are too slow to react when the opposition attack.

With three players behind the striker it leaves the two deep midfielders too exposed on the flanks, even Burnley were playing little one touch passes down each side in midfield because of the space.

I would rather Pochettino play a 4-3-3 system with one deep sitting midfielder and two slightly infront (like a triangle) and then form a solid line of three across midfield when defending.

Just like your posts!!

And in with the personal insults, because I am not stupid enough to believe that for the majority of the season, that shower of shit I have watched, should ever be considered adequate.

It doesn't mean I don't understand the circumstances of our season, like this being Poch's first season, young side etc.

But hey, lets just call for what it is without all the wrapped up bullshit that goes along with it.

Yes, we have a team that can improve and develop, but they won't improve if everybody lives in a fucking fantasy world and considers what we have seen this season as good. It's not, it's wank.
