We havn't been shit all season though. We were doing well against West Brom, Arsenal, SU first half, and Liverpool.

Then he inexplicably changes it and its been down hill since. I agree, since then our performances have been masked by Kane's goals.

Got to remember first few months where a weeding out process.

Still, its immensely frustrating.

The bad outweigh the good IMO , doesn't look good for poch or us can't see poch being here this time next year

Pissed off spending £200 today but everyone I met in the pub..100 Swedes, Norwegians, Finns, Germans and plenty of Yanks
flying in for the game, what a disappointment?

Quite the assortment, you in Hamburg or something?

I know the results and performances have been poor recently but I'm still as positive and sure that Poch is the right man.

Yes he's been stubborn and yes a few of the lads look jaded but we've got so much potential in this side plus those we've not seen (Yedlin, Pritch, Fredeiks, Ali and to an extent Carrol)

Surely it's time we supported the manager through thick and thin, I remember after the arse and Chelski games Poch was the second coming, all of a sudden people seem to be edging towards getting rid of him.

It's time we stood firm and supported the main man in charge, write of this season and perhaps next as a learning curve and hopefully then reap the rewards of our loyalty.

In my opinion he has the right approach on and off the field, he promotes the home grown element whilst encouraging the flair attitude we as a club have been famously built upon

The future is still, in my opinion, incredibly bright regardless of what I've read on here over the last few games

Poch will overcome, COYS!!!!

Agree with this.

Its a hard one though, while I'm not for one minute suggesting we need to look at getting rid of him some of his team selections and decisions throughout the whole season have been a bit concerning.

That having said you can always look it things both ways:

Potch is shit:
-Rigid tactics
-Poor team and captain selections
-Singling out players unfairly
-Lack of plan B
-Bad defensive record

But then you can equally give the argument that he's done a good job and I find it far easier to list reasons in this column:
-The squad is not well balanced and his has needed a season to sort it out
-The attitudes of a lot of the players aren't good enough and we need to get rid
-He's improved lots of young players e.g. Kane, Rose,Bentaleb, Mason, Dier etc
-We played very well vs Chelsea and Arsenal
-Our strikers are dog shite (Soldado & Ade) form and technique and a 21yr old kid has rescued us
-We got to a cup final
-We have played some lovely football at times
-It is only his first season

So for me I think we need to look at the situation realistically, make sure he gets players in he wants who will suit this formation and style he wants to play and then start to judge him after another season or mabye 2!!!

Yes some decisions have been a bit concerning but really its a difficult job and we are probably about where this squad deserves to be.

Isn't Tim Sherwood that thicko manager we were desperate to get rid of? I he's so stupid how did we get beat by a team he's managing?

I must say, I'm no Poch-out advocate, but Sherwood is now 3-0-0 head-to-head with Pochettino, with two of those being away matches.

Wow, out of 32 games, not including all the cup games, we have played well in hand full games, lets add QPR and Chelsea to that as well.

That truely is something to sing and dance about.

Loving the posts along the lines of:

"we are fucking shit, all our players are shit, pochettino is shit, we've been shit for weeks, can't defend for shit, can't attack for shit..

But Sherwood is a genius tactical mastermind for beating us"
I don't think he's a 'genius tactical mastermind' but today his team had more idea of what they were doing than our very expensive group of under achievers. A lot more idea.

MOTD: it had to be that twat Danny Murphy just loving lauding his mate, the mate who was leaking info to him on Talksport. I hate Murphy, and as for Jenas, he didn't have the balls to actually go with his own positive opinion of MP, so sat on the fence: a metaphor for his career.

What has happened to Eriksen ?
Looks completely drained off confidence & drained of energy. Needs to be given a break IMO.

Defending has been abysmal all season. - 46 goals conceded so far. Not even Hull has given that much. United have scored 5 more than us but have a goal difference of 27.
Irony is this is in a season, where our goalkeeper has been best (if not 2nd best player of the season.

On the contrary, we see Southampton scoring their 15th cleansheet of the campaign so far.

Koeman almost plays in way AVB played, only difference is he has better defensive CMs, better winger in Mane & a better striker.

Paulinho, Soldado, Chadli, Townsend, Lamela, Fazio, Stambouli, Chiriches, Walker, Capoue - in these players we have spent over 100million. Much of muchness as Mr.Sherwood says.

Tim' plays to the strengths of his best players, because players not systems and philosophies win games.

My boss is a big Soton fan, and he reckons that the big difference is that they conserve their energy under Koeman and press when it serves a purpose rather than just pressing for the sake of it.

Wtf SP you have let me down as i was looking forward to your new book only to find you have given me a sentence whats going on :)

I would like to give you a sentence - firing squad!

But the pinko liberals would only commute it as you had a difficult childhood, what with being born on the escalators at M&S and your family tying you to the back of a goat and parading you around Southend-on-Sea like a circus-freak baby while dressed as French onion sellers, using their berets to collect coin from an amused public :)
